This is a great place to go for yummy Indian food. We had mutton biryani, butter chicken, garlic naan and samosas. Really good. Came with sliced white onions, chilis, lime and two little containers of condiments so tasty I had to slurp it down before we left. The service was very warm and friendly. They even helped us catch a ride afterwards!

Large, generous dishes. Really flavorful food. We tried lagan chicken, achari chicken, and potato samosas. All exceeded expectations and were really good! I will note they had limited menu items, and some things on the menu we wanted to try were not available.

New Zaiqa isn’t about the dining experience—it’s more of a takeout spot. But if you’re craving that old Hyderabad city vibe, you can definitely sit down and enjoy your meal there.

Must-Try Dishes:

⭐ Chicken 65 – This is a rare treat, usually available on Saturdays (Call ahead). Easily one of the best Chicken 65 I’ve had in the USA—crispy, flavorful and perfectly spiced.

⭐ Ginger Chicken – A solid favorite with just the right balance of spice and heat.

⭐ Aachari Chicken – If you love bold, tangy flavors, this one won’t disappoint.

⭐ Biryani (Lamb/Goat & Chicken) – Their biryanis are packed with rich flavors and paired with their Mirchi ka Salan takes it to another level.

⭐ Tea – A simple but satisfying way to end the meal.

If you’re not a fan of the dine-in setup, just order takeout and enjoy an authentic Hyderabadi feast at home. Definitely worth trying!

I’ve been a regular customer of this restaurant for many years, often visiting almost every alternate weekend, and this is the first time I’ve encountered something like this. The person at the counter really needs proper training—or at least to understand that he’s in the USA, not India (HYD).

First, he had me sit and wait after I ordered mutton biryani. After a long wait, he finally told me that only chicken items were available. I said okay, no problem, and ordered 1 egg puff, 1 mirchi, and 1 samosa. I asked him whether they were ready to eat or needed to be microwaved. He microwaved them for about 15 seconds and then literally touched them with his bare hands to check if they were warm, saying, “Yeah, it’s eatable.”

I was shocked—what are you doing? If this is what you do right in front of me while I’m about to eat it, what happens behind the counter? When I told him not to do that, he took the items back and mixed them in with the other egg puffs and samosas. So the ones he touched are just going to be served to someone else? That’s unacceptable and honestly insane.

Please learn the basics of hygiene and food handling. Again This isn’t Hyderabad.

The greeter/waiter was super nice. The food was really delicious. My only disappointment was the cleanliness of the place. The only reason I stayed was because I was far from my regular Indian restaurant. The place can use a good scrub.

Ordered to go buttered chicken and mutton biryani. The buttered chicken was flavorful but the sauce was almost watery consistency. Not a big deal, but found a hair in the mutton biryani and got a lot more rice than mutton.

This place is open up late making it an excellent spot for food during a late night study session or coming back from work. The staff is very friendly and there is a good amount of seating. The food is very tasty and the portion sizes are great for the price. Overall I highly recommend this place and cannot wait to try it again

The environment was unclean, and the food was subpar, especially considering the high prices. The front desk staff seemed unconcerned with customer satisfaction, making me feel like I was asking for a favor rather than making a purchase.

The food was hot, but it tasted like it had been cooked days in advance and reheated. The curries had an unpleasant, stale flavor. To make matters worse, the packaging was extremely cheap and unimpressive.

Overall, I was not impressed with the quality of the food or the service, and I would not recommend this place to others.

When we started for looking restaurants to eat late, this was the only restaurant open with only 181 ratings. I was little skeptical about trying it but that was our last option if wanted to eat Indian food. And I am so glad I went there. We ordered dalcha and chicken with rice. And omg the quantity was surprisingly high, you can see it in picture; on top that the quality was very good. At one point I was full but couldn’t stop myself from eating more. Do not be fooled by low review numbers this is the best place for sure. The ambience or interiors are not that catchy but food is flavorful and people are kind too.
