If you are looking for place serving inexpensive quality teriyaki and ramen dishes that taste like the the little Japanese takeout joint around the corner from your house when you were a kid, then New York Teriyaki & Ramen will transport you back to your youth.
They have have a nice simple menu including pictures of dishes, sections like Teriyaki dishes, Stir Fry, Yakisoba, and of course Ramen selections. The food is far from gourmet but for a fast food Japanese restaurant that serves big portions for prices that won’t break your pockets, this is a good one for your “take out” list.
Pro Tip: Check for operation times because they do close after lunch to reset and open for dinner.

First time trying their food here, but I had my eye on the place for a long time. I really wanted to love it but I was disappointed in the quality of half my food. I got the beef teriyaki bento plate $20 w/tax. The cabbage salad was very bitter and half of the beef teriyaki was inedible because the quality was really cheap and terrible with hard cartilage pieces in it. However, the rice was really good and so were the fried vegetable pieces along with the 1 pot sticker that it came with. Also, it was displayed beautifully but unfortunately I doubt I will give their food another try.

We’ve been wanting to eat here for a while. And finally got around to it and I was kind of disappointed first of was overcharged by double ( he did call someone up and fix the issue fast) restroom out of order aswell is the soda machine. The food was just ok terayaki sauce was good though but chicken was chewy and not fresh. Salad seem like it was bagged salad from Sam’s club. My daughter said her ramen taste stale. For what we paid we could of ate at a popularchain instead. The cook and his son where friendly but food could use some love.

Once again another Trip to the restaurant to find the open sign on and the doors locked when they are supposed to be open. This is the 3rd or 4th time I’ve had this happen to me. This trip was at 5:23pm on Wednesday December 17th. Dear owners your business isn’t slow it’s just hard to get customers when your employees constantly lock the doors.

The food is very average at best. Order for to go and waited 20 minutes when the restaurant was empty when I walked in. The beef is overcooked and tough to eat. Portions are small.

We went for lunch for the first time. I asked for short ribs which they were out of & the cashier recommended other places I could go. Then I tried to order a boba drink and she said she couldn’t make boba but I could get one at another place. I finally said jokingly “Don’t send us to other places” We ordered, the food was fresh and tasted good. I overheard the cashier taking orders by phone and several times saying they were out of beef & its everyone’s favorite…if you know its everyone’s favorite, maybe ensure its on hand. Anyway, aside from the strange customer interactions, the food was good.

Mom & Pop teriyaki restaurant with decent (even if slightly dry) proteins and really good value lunch bowl specials between 10am and 1pm. The restaurant is a little run down (fountain soda machine is out of order for example), the service sincere but deliberate (slow and inaccurate, received a spring roll instead of gyoza with the bento) and the quality not quite up to its competition Teriyaki Madness nor Teriyaki Boy. Worth a visit if you are in the area for a value lunch.

Everything about this place was great! The food was delicious with generous portion sizes. Some of the best gyoza I have had. Our server was super nice and friendly, really made us feel welcome. The dining area was clean and casual. Over all, a great experience and a place that I plan on coming back to regularly!

I recently took a new gig just two blocks from this joint. My go to healthy lunch is grilled meat so teriyaki joints are a staple of my diet. Being so close and seeing the 4.4 star reviews I was excited this place existed. But I think it’s a one and done for me. I got the half chicken half pork bowl and the chicken was dry and not flavorful, but the pork was horrifically dry and terrible. My bowl ended up being about 75% pork vs 25% chicken. I really think the pork was getting old late in the afternoon and instead of tossing it and cooking it fresh they just tossed it to me. I was going to try the fried rice, ramen and shrimp at some point but now I don’t think I can justify giving this place another shot? I asked for a cup of water and they hand me the size cup you get at the dentist to rinse your mouth with mouth wash so I had to get up and refill multiple times. It was literally 1.5 gulps. It was a nice day so the doors were open, but the restaurant sits directly under the landing strip about a mile away at Harry Reid airport. So every 60 seconds it was so loud I could barely hear my podcast on full volume. Close the doors and turn on the AC. I usually only bother with good reviews, but when I’ve had a particularly poor experience I will give constructive criticism via reviews to hopefully help the business improve their customers experience.
