Best Pizza place north of Hyde Park I’ve visited. I’m from down state and the pizza up here is usually trash. Image you do contractor work for the guy who owens the place… You see how well he takes care of his mother, then after finding out he owns a pizza place and find out he seems to love making pizza with the same passion with which he loves his family. Thats Italian style cooking, with a passion and a love for the craft that not many have around here. The only place making pizza close to this is Fredrick in Winthrop. That said, as a Pizza snob… They have the best pizza from east to west north of Poughkeepsie. I drove from Potsdam to get this because even cold or reheated, it’s the best!

Man! This place is definitely amazing! Super clean and welcoming. The pizza was hott, fresh and super cheesy I loved the sweet tasting sauce. The chicken wings were crispy and fresh and the garlic knots were great too! I’ll definitely be getting more chicken wings before I leave town. My son also enjoyed watching the guy make pizza

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review: New York Pizzeria — Gouverneur, NY
I stopped at New York Pizzeria in Gouverneur while heading home on a long 7-hour car ride and just needed something quick and satisfying. I ordered three slices to go, and they were fantastic.
The crust was crisp but soft in the center, the sauce had great flavor without being too sweet, and the cheese had that perfect stretch you hope for in a good New York-style slice. Even reheated a bit later in the trip, the pizza still tasted fresh and delicious — which says a lot.
The staff were friendly and quick, and my order was ready in minutes. Exactly the kind of hometown pizzeria you hope to find on the road — great food, great service, and genuine small-town charm.
Highly recommend stopping here if you’re anywhere near Gouverneur. It’s definitely worth the detour.

My family and I stopped here on our way home and we were blow away! My sister’s and I have a severe gluten allergy (celiac) and they had gluten free pizza. I get extremely sick with the smallest amount of cross contamination and they were more than willing to make sure everything was made seperately. They made the pizza in the back away from the main area, on a sheet, and they used new cheese and opened a new can of sauce so I felt more comfortable. I have never had service like that and they were beyond sweet when interacting with me. I know it’s not easy or fun to work with allergies all the time but they were so nice and so accommodating! They also had a separate fryer for the wings so we could eat them too. They checked all the sauces with us individually so we could read the label and feel more comfortable with our decision. The food was amazing! The gf pizza was huge and the garlic wings were the most tender ones I’ve had; there was a pool of butter at the bottom which was great for dipping the wings. Overall an amazing experience and the service was outstanding. Small and family owned can’t be beat. We will be coming back every time we get to drive through the area!

I ordered take out. Two large pizzas and 30 hot honey wings. For $80 + dollars I expect my order to be correct. It was not…… I have never had a problem before tonight. The young man taking my order on the phone didn’t seemed distracted and unfamiliar with the menu.

EXTREMELY DELICIOUS FOOD. Came here for Flag Day Parade and decided to give it a try. I highly recommend that if you ever in Gouverneur stop and eat here. You will not be disappointed.

By far the best pizza in the area and whenever we travel we always compare other places to our hometown pizzaria. Nothing compares to their quality and their service is phenomenal.
