I needed a quick change from Detroit style. This is a pretty decent slice. Definitely that thin and crispy NY crust. The sauce could use a bit more work, not really much flavor. But the crust was great.

Popped “pizza” into google and found New York Pizza Pie. Man, you want to talk about some solid pizza? If you haven’t, you have to try this place. Pizza slices as big as my head, flavor is incredible, toppings are quality. Nice and thin with a delicious crust (the dough in general is great). If you’re looking to get the most bang for your buck, this is where to go. Not to mention the service was solid. I think I spoke with the owner? Whoever he was, he was a cool guy. 10/10. Highly recommend. I’ll definitely be back!

First timer today. Excellent pizza (crust is fantastic) hot, fresh and tasted great. Cheese bread is amazing – not greasy and crust is perfection. EDIT: it sucks to have to do this but this place has disappointed us more than made us happy, at this point and we definitely won’t try anymore. We ordered a pepperoni small ($15.99) and a pineapple small (16.49) two 20oz pops and a ranch. That was $41….whoa. On the phone my husband asked for crispy, cooked all the way through pizzas but not burned. Well I went in to pick them up. They were ready in the heater waiting 15 minutes after the call when I went in. They told me 20. I opened the box and they were pale and floppy when I lifted the sliced. I asked if he asked for them crispy (knowing he had and he was on the phone with me currently) and then kid very quickly said no. I said…he told me he did and the kids said, I don’t know i didn’t actually take the order. I said he probably shouldnt answer so confidently then. He said it wasn’t on the ticket. He was right. Seeing as you many of your one stars are about undercooked pizza you’d think you’d care more. This place has been excellent 2 out of 6 times. Silly me for keeping on trying. Original review is below. I’m gonna start with saying that I’m somewhat of a pizza connoisseur… like when I die I want to be fed pizza at that moment. I’m from Arizona and we have a solid lock on New York style pizza. And it’s kinda hard to find good ones here in Detroit and surrounding areas. Rocco’s was the best I had found so far and this place blows them out of the water.
The cheese alone did it for me. That flavor! So freakin good. And the sauce was perfect. And the crust held the slice strong all the way through. The cheese bread was also equally as beautiful. Soooo good.
It makes me sad to see these one star reviews from fake accounts. I think they are all crap and just trying to sabotage. I also want to add that I drive for uber in my spare time and I’ve picked up from here multiple times and the staff are always lovely.

Pizza was pretty good. I like how it’s thin and the edges of the crust are crispy. I wish it was more crispy throughout and it was a bit salty. Would go back to try other pizza and if you like thin crust pizza you’ll like this place.
