Service is quick and efficient, and the place itself is clean and straightforward with just a handful of tables. They can get busy during the evening but tables tend to turn over fairly quick.
I just came back from the restaurant and had to write this review. I can’t believe I’m the first one to review this place.
Usually when we go out, we end up taking food home, but this time we finished everything. Our order came out fast, within 10 minutes.
The banh mi was incredible. My wife said it was one of the best she’s ever had, and this was her first time trying halal Vietnamese. I wanted another one right away.
The pho broth was rich and flavorful, and the chili oil had just the right kick. The summer roll was fresh, and the calamari was perfectly crispy.
We also had a Thai iced tea and a mango fruit drink, both really tasty.
The service was excellent. Our waitress was super nice and courteous.
Overall, definitely will be regulars here.
Having this meal the day after Zohran become the mayor made it even better❤️❤️ . Ate with my hands .
Last weekend, my family and I visited New York Pho House (Francis Lewis Blvd location) at 25-52 Francis Lewis Blvd, Flushing, NY 11358, which is the smaller, second branch compared to their original spot.
We went on a Saturday, and despite it being freezing outside, the inside of the restaurant felt warm, cozy, and very comfortable. It was also very quiet, with not many people dining at the time, which made for a relaxed and enjoyable experience.
For food, we ordered their signature pho and the fried chicken, and I’m happy to say the quality was very similar to the original location. The pho was flavorful, comforting, and satisfying, and the fried chicken was crispy and well-seasoned. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. If you’re already a fan of their main branch, this location definitely maintains the same taste and quality.
The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, which really added to the overall experience. Service was attentive without being overbearing, and we felt comfortable taking our time with the meal.
That said, there are a couple of downsides worth mentioning:
• There is no bathroom inside the restaurant. You’re required to walk around the corner and around the block to use a restroom, which is inconvenient—especially in cold weather or if you’re dining with family.
• Parking is limited. On weekdays, you’ll need to pay for metered parking. On weekends, you can take your chances since enforcement seems lighter, but there is still no dedicated parking for the restaurant.
Overall, this is a great alternative to the original New York Pho House if you’re in the area. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is friendly. If they ever add a restroom or improve parking access, this spot would be nearly perfect. I’ll also be attaching photos and a video of the location to help others get a better idea of the space.
Would definitely come back
We ordered the signature pho, lamb fried rice, peppered calamari, summer rolls, Thai tea, and Vietnamese coffee. Each dish was served in generous portions and prepared with remarkable flavor and quality. The lamb fried rice, with its subtle spiciness, was particularly memorable, and the calamari stood out as a highlight—both dishes were simply irresistible.
The balance of taste, presentation, and attentive service truly reflects the skill and care of the chefs and staff. It is also worth noting that NY Pho House offers halal options, making it an inclusive choice for diverse diners.
Overall, NY Pho House delivers a delightful culinary experience that I highly recommend.
Signature Pho 8.5/10
Lamb fried rice 8/10
~$45 for these 3 dishes
Food was really good and flavorful. We were the only ones there (no crowd cus of Christmas Eve?) but they’re really new. Show up and show some love. Very nice service and very authentic Pho
