This is a must-stop if you are in the area. Very friendly family owned deli. There is a lot of options on the menu, it was hard to choose. I went with the hot pastrami. It was great. However, I think any sandwich put in their homemade bread would be a home run. If I have more time when I stop again I would dine-in.

A classic deli with so many options of food! Their menu is quite vast but there’s always some favorites to go to. The pricing is moderate but the food is worth every cent. The bread is baked there and all the deli meat is cut there making it SUPER fresh. Adding a Dill pickle was the cherry on top! It’s got a classic NYC feel. If you’re on RT 9 definitely stop by!

A really nice find while traveling through the area. This is a solid place with good people running it.
The gentleman who took my order was polite and patient, and he answered all my questions.
I was surprised by the amount of vegetarian options they provide, more than your average deli – and they are happy to tailor it to you.
The deli is attached to a mini-mart, but it doesn’t detract from the deli’s environment. The mural of NY, the casual seating options, and the general decor leave you feeling like you’re somewhere in Jersey.
The food tastes great and has a homemade quality to it. The ingredients in my sandwich are fresh and there’s a good balance of flavors. I was surprised with the pickle spear even, as you can tell they pickle the cucumbers in house.
There are refrigerated meals ready to go, they have a large menu of breakfast & lunch options, and they offer catering as well. There’s even a tempting selection of snacks including their version of chex mix, muffins, and other baked goods.

After a very disappointing breakfast sandwich at another bagel place down the road yesterday, I decided to try New York Deli after the suggestion of another reviewer.
I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on a marble bagel. Sandwich was excellent, made with actual fried eggs vs something vaguely yellow that had been microwaved. Bagel was really good as well.
Service was fast and very friendly!

I ordered The Vito on a gluten-free wrap and it was so damn good, I gobbled it down before I could snap a picture. Other sandwiches ordered were The Brooklyn and Black Pepper Bacon and Cajun Turkey. All excellent options. I’ll be back.

Very good. No doubt NY type of deli. HOWEVER their BEC ( bacon, egg, and cheese) on a kaiser roll was not 100% correct. Roll should have been buttered and toasted on the grill. They know that.
