first time trying this place and it was delicious!! one of the best sandwich shops compared to all of the big named places! everything is hot, fresh and made to order. parking was great, staff was very friendly and helpful. the food is not overpriced. i really would recommend New York Deli to anyone wanting a GREAT sandwich & soup. I cant wait to come back and try other things on the menu! The menu offers so many different sandwiches and burgers at a great price! if you’re wondering if you should eat here… DO IT!

1st time here it’s good. But, prices are high considering a sandwich. Prices are similar to Jason’s Deli. The side servings to me they are a joke. Like a sample cup. Maybe I will go maybe I won’t consider paying abt 10.00 to 12.00 for a sandwich kinda makes you cringe and say I’ll go to H.E.B Deli buy cold cut meats. Anyways yea the meat is packed. It’s a meh! Cool place! Spacious interior filled with Beatles memorabilia! Plenty of tables and chairs. Great menu with tons of hot and cold sandwiches, as well as beers and soft drinks. I had the Tuna Melt and it was mouth-watering. Delicious rye bread, buttered and grilled in a pan; melted cheese; and plenty of delicious tuna! Served with my kind of cole-slaw (sweet!), or you can choose potato salad or chips. I was glad I didn’t go to the same old sandwich chain, and instead found a new place with lots of variety to keep me coming back. (Several locations in TX: Brownsville, McAllen, Weslaco, Harlingen.

This is the best spot for sandwiches in town, I honestly can’t even think of a close second. Everything is always fresh, they only use good quality meats and the service is always extremely friendly. As a bonus, their chicken soup is absolutely divine. Don’t waste your time at a corporate chain when you can support a locally owned business, I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Finally found a good Corned Beef Reuben here in the valley. Exactly as you would expect. Their in-house made Russian dressing is spot on. It is a casual “sit and order at the table of your choosing and pay at the register on the way out” place. The server I had was fantastic and very helpful. I could see that all the server’s worked very well together and kept watchful eyes on the customers. Parking in the front is sparse, but there is plenty of very nice parking behind their deli. I’ll be back for sure!

Way bigger portions than Jason’s Deli for about the same price, if not less. Locally owned and operated – only found in the valley. Also has way more options. Honey atmosphere and very nice staff. They really went all out with their Beatles theme. The food has an authentic feel to it. Will return !
