NYC deli is my favorite local place for lunch! Always fresh always friendly! Been coming here often and have never had any issue with quality. I always order the Cajun Super with extra meat & extra NYC sauce. Their soups are delicious too! My favorite time to pick up is before a nice hike or walk with my dogs so if you’re planning a picnic, grabbing lunch or just driving by, stop in you won’t regret it.

Lunchtime & First- Timer! recently visited the New York Deli, and had a delightful experience. The place was spotless, and the two women who served us were as friendly as a warm bagel. The sandwiches were fresh and generously sized, making our $24 well spent. If you’re in the area and craving a good sandwich, this deli is worth a visit—just be prepared to leave with a happy belly and a smile! Check em out!

My wife went in around lunch time to pick up lunch. She let me know it’s a really cute inside spot with an area to sit and eat.
We got the Super Ham Delight and everything and a side of potato salad. Amazing. Tasty. It was packed, cut and presented beautifully. I have had plenty of deli sandwiches from NYC and this was comparable, especially in the middle of Illinois. It was warm when it got to me, the meat is stuffed and piled, pickle crisp! I loved the way they wrapped it up and cut it perfectly.
My wife had the pastrami on a roll and it was so flavorful and perfect. She had just cheese and a pickle and it was a great lunch.
The potato salad is SO good, it doesn’t have a ton of flair, it is thin hand cut potatoes with dressing, and honestly it doesn’t need anything else. I can’t wait to try more of their tasty goods!!

Without a question, the BEST deli sandwich that I have personally had. I’ve been to the Brooklyn Pickle in Syracuse NY a lot and this is better !
I had the NYC Special. It was the perfect combination or meats and cheeses. Honey Turkey, roast beef, swiss, munster and provolone stacked high, with choice of toppings. Absolutely delicious ! Everything was fresh and tender and the bread was soft and flavorful. It didn’t taste salty and over processed like everywhere else does and the price is more than reasonable. Do yourself a favor, pass, Subway, Jersey Mikes, and Jimmy John’s and go get a real sandwich from NYC Deli.

They have the best sandwiches! Always fresh with lots of choices. When I pick up lunch here I always feel like I’m eating healthier than I would at a fast food place. The service is really good and I can’t even tell you how delicious the sandwiches are!

First off the place is very small but clean inside. I got my sub fairly quickly which was nice. Now for my take of this place. I really liked the sub I really did. 2-3 draw backs though. For one the sun should have been on a turano roll. I didn’t like the rolls they used. 2 I thought it was just a bit overpriced for what you get. I thought the super would have been bigger than it was. 3 the meat should be distributed evenly throughout the sun and not concentrated towards the center. All in all it was a pretty dang good sub. Would be a 4-5 star with a turano roll and about $2 cheaper.. I’ll go back and maybe next time I’m get a ruben on some rye.

Sandwiches were pretty good. We enjoyed the chicken salad and Italian subs. The young man taking orders could improve his customer service. His attitude was poor and he wasn’t very friendly.

New York City Deli is one of our staples when we don’t want to make our meal at home. Maybe a Saturday morning when we are running errands we will stop here on our way home to grab lunch. All of the sandwich ingredients are top notch, especially the meats and cheeses. It’s not cheap, but I would say it’s a good value.
Three positives: you will enjoy whatever your order, both fountain and bottled drink options, it’s in a good location
Three negatives: no charming ambiance, odd chip selection, and it takes a while to get your sandwich after you order.
