I live right here in Islandia and always went past this place to another. Anyway a friend said she wanted to specifically go to NY Bagel, so I went, this place is absolutely delicious!!! Service is great and employees are super friendly. I ran in with my 5lb yorkie, and they gave her a nice treat. Definitely not an updated shop, but food and service is amazing!!! My new favorite bagel shop.

This place is great. They get very busy between 7:30-9am. I understand it may take a bit longer to get your order but it’s because their breakfast sandwiches are amazing. I’ve been ordering from this deli for a minute but recently it’s been different. The last 2 times I’ve ordered a sandwich it seems like they just put scraps in there. And charging $1.30 for half a slice of cheese is disheartening. Foodie Shack on Vets hwy is better.

Hi, I’m from North Carolina. It is pretty rare for me to be able to actually give a place 5 stars. I actually would give it more stars if i could. And this place very much so deserves it. I was visiting with some of my husband’s family and one of his uncles took me to a place called The New York Bagel Company for breakfast. This little place and the staff are just really amazingly wonderful! Very helpful and very nice. With a very comfortable and welcoming feel in the whole place. With amazing and oh so yummy and fresh food choices. The guests are quite amazing and friendly as well. One really cool thing is, on the walls are these little brown bags with an idem or so written on it from the menu and a receipt in it as already been paid for. People go in and get what they want for themselves and when they can, they will buy something(s) for those in need. They come with a little note on the bags. And whatever is written on the bag is what anyone in need can get. Without any cost to them, without judgment, and with compaction. And people aren’t greedy about it in any way either. There’s bags with already paid for coffee and other yummy things from the menu just as a friendly gift to someone in need. I Highly Recommend The New York Bagel Company…

Big elderly angry woman always in curly hair and hat NASTY AND DISRESPECTFUL. Outside smoking cigarettes handling food without washing hands. Seen it multiple times. DISGRACFUL customer service. Biggest rudest elder woman I ever met in my life. Will never come back to or recommend this establishment. 0 stars. Bad nasty face for your company.

from the moment i walked in i was greeted by a wonderful lady with her bright beautiful smile while she was multitasking and taking care of customers so politely and patiently it really made my entire day because i was having a really bad day and decided to treat myself to a delicious fresh bagel and hot coffee and when i left there i could not stop thinking of the pleasant lady with the hat on and gorgeous nails and her beautiful skin just inspired me so much and i will be back to treat myself again one day and i hope i see that hard working lady again with that beautiful smile thank u for hiring her shes a wonderful asset to your company…i cannot remember her name when i asked her but i do believe it begins with an S and i hope she gets the recognition she deserves
