The food was fantastic…only took 3 minutes to get to our table after ordering. The service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere was ok…but I’d love to see them get rid of the yucky old carpet and decorate the place in a more Japanese style. Otherwise, a really great experience…I will stop again when I’m in the area.

For a small place the food is great. I have eaten here many times and never been disappointed. The veggies and all meats are great. Each dinner comes with a yum yum sauce which makes it even better. Food service is fast you can dine in or take out. By far the best Japanese in Madison heights.

My husband ordered 2 take out meals and an order of spring rolls. When he picked up, he was given the wrong order. Of course they won’t take the food back after it left the restaurant, but they wanted to charge us for both meals when they made the mistake of giving my husband the wrong meal. I tried to explain to them that we already paid (more than what ours cost) and they insisted I pay for both meals. I don’t have money to cover 2 sets of meals.

New Yamazoto has become our go to place to eat in Madison Heights when we don’t want to cook. Everything we’ve ever ordered is cooked perfectly. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food always prepared quickly and ready to go when they say it will be.
