Craving a steak and cheese from somewhere new I found this place. I ordered a steak and cheese with extra cheese. I also ordered a buffalo chicken pizza skin as it sounded different and unique. The steak and cheese tasted good but was more bread than steak and not much cheese at all sadly. The buffalo chicken pizza skins were actually really good but the sour cream that came with was hood pre packaged. I’ve never seen that before other than a fast food drive thru place. That was really the one that took the score down from restaurant to just a regular pizza corner shop.

Apparently we only get one Google review each, so I’m updating this one, but keeping the prior feedback for honesty sake. Tonight was 5 star due to service & food quality. No pictures this time bc I ate it too fast. We waited a bit longer than expected, but the young ladies at the counter were courteous and apologetic. They offered free drinks for the wait and made sure we had the hots that we asked for. The food was perfect- veggie sub and eggplant parm sub. Balanced, full, cooked well, fresh. Worth the wait. Thank you!

Going downhill with inconsistency again. I ordered a well done veggie pizza so that I could stay cool tonight. Tipped yall. Get home to find an undercooked layer of vegetables on top of barely cooked cheese. Pretty disappointing.

First time customers to New Weir.
Got the Seafood platter. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. We’ve tried Seafood platters in several places and New Weir outshines them so far. The fry oil was fresh and you could tell. The clam strips weren’t rubbery or overcooked, and they don’t skimp on scallops or shrimp. We got a back up sub just in case we were disappointed in the seafood. We had to save it for the next day. Two of us split the meal and the price was worth it.
Keep it up. We’ll be back again.

The best chicken tenders ever. Absolutely everything from here is amazing and so good. It’s hard to make up your mind from all the great selections. The fish and chips are so so so good. Hard to beat this place.

THE SERVICE
The employee answering the telephone provided good customer service. My order details were confirmed with the total and approximate wait time.
The pickup experience was organized. Friendly greeting upon entering, and my order was ready at the designated time. The takeout area was neat and clean. The waiting area is a bit small so you may feel cramped if more than 4 patrons are picking up orders.
THE FOOD
The garlic Parmesan tenders were very meaty. The chicken was cooked well, and they were tossed in a very rich buttery cream sauce. The flavor profile was a true standout~ this dish would pair well with crusty bread or angel hair pasta.
The cream sauce did separate leaving an observable layer of fat/oil. This indicates the sauce was cooked too high, too much fat was added, and or not properly emulsified. Nonetheless, the dish was flavorful and tasty.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The packaging is incredibly insufficient and doesn’t transport well. A dish containing a sauce should not be packaged in cheaply made styrofoam containers without a seal. Some of the sauce leaked into the plastic bag creating a mess.
THE VALUE
Given the heartiness of the chicken tenders coupled with fresh ingredients- I think the dish is fairly priced. However, at that price point the restaurant should utilize appropriate containers.

To say dissatisfied is an understatement. I honestly NEVER complain, but when I picked up my steak tip salad to-go and opened it up I was shocked. The salad cost $20 and had 3 steak tips very undercooked and weighing in at 4.66 ounces. I called because I thought maybe the order was not complete or was not mine. The manager on the phone while nice stated that yes the salad comes with 3 tips and they should be weighing 2oz per tip. When I mentioned what the weight was I was told they probably shrunk while cooking yet they Were still raw. I was told I could get a credit for a side 3 piece steak tip for next time since I wasn’t happy. Just be warned if your looking for a well portioned steak tip salad this is not where to order it especially if your going to spend $20.
