I paid $23 for a kento (bento) box and got FIVE tiny pieces of shrimp. Five. With a small scoop of fried rice and three tiny sushi pieces. That’s it. For twenty-three dollars.

This is supposed to be hibachi, not a sample platter.

When I called to ask about the portion size, they told me it’s small because the box includes sushi — and if I wanted more food I should’ve ordered a plate instead. So basically, pay more if you actually want to be full? That’s insane.

This portion would not fill up a grown adult. It barely feeds a kid. For $23, I expect a real meal, not something that looks like it came off the kids menu.

Food was fine, but the value is a complete joke. If you’re actually hungry, don’t order the box. You’ll leave annoyed and still starving.

Environment fee after I spend $70 is such a cash grab.

Never again.

New Tokyo Hibachi & Sushi in Conyers offers a lively dining experience with fresh sushi and flavorful hibachi meals that many customers enjoy. The portion sizes are generous, making it a good choice for families or groups. However, service can be inconsistent, with some guests reporting long waits and occasional lapses in cleanliness. The atmosphere is fun but could benefit from updates to décor and better temperature control. Overall, it’s a solid spot for casual Japanese dining — I’d recommend a rating of 3.5 out of 5 stars for its food quality and value, with room for improvement in service and ambiance.

Felt for some sushi and I was in the area so I decided to give new Tokyo a try. We did not have to wait long and I ordered the new Tokyo sushi roll which was fried and another specialty roll that I thought was very good.. My friend had a seafood noodle/ ramen that was really really good. She gave me some and it was tasty. It was very busy today and I thought they needed more servers but overall, I would go back there again

I have been here before it was New Tokyo. This is amazing! Conveyor belt sushi! Its 19.95 ALL YOU CAN EAT for lunch or 29.95 for Dinner. So many different sushi’s to try! They also have an amazing dessert and it’s art! Their Hibachi is also so delicious! I no longer have to go to Duluth for something this beautiful and delicious.
Ps: if there is sushi you dont see but really want just ask your server and they will bring it out to you!
Can’t go wrong with coming here!

Food was so good. Celebrated my daughter’s 21st and my mom’s 75th birthday here. One of the owners was there. Educating my husband and I on cognac. We were seated very fast, service went great.

My friend and I went here to celebrate our birthdays! Just eating together as sisters! It was good! I really liked our chef! He was hilarious! I think he was flirting a little. We laughed and we had fun. Not the best I’ve been to, but it was descent! I don’t like sitting too close to people I don’t know, but the people we sat next to were friendly. It all worked out! The decor or something seems outdated. Good portion size for what we paid.

Long wait and bad food. I miss the old Tokyo. The sushi tasted worse than gas station sushi and the conveyor belt food was old. Took the waiter awhile to come to our table. Service was slow and our drinks never got refilled. Had to get up to pay our bill that included a 18% gratuity while the employees stood talking in a circle.

First let me just say I’m not the one to type a review unless smthg HUGE happened…I’m a mom of 5 and I don’t have time for things like this.
I Placed a to go order and sat in the car to eat it because I was by myself with my kids and the baby was asleep. Started eating and halfway through found a LONG BLACK HAIR in my food. Absolutely DISGUSTED. I go back in, show the lady at the front and she says “I’m not sure what you want me to do cuz most of the chicken is eaten”. FIRST OF ALL DONT TREAT ME LIKE A LIAR LOOKING FOR FREE FOOD. IF I WAS BROKE I WOULDN’T BE EATING LITTLE TOKYO. I told her whatever she wanted to do to correct it because it’s not right what happened…she can re-cook the food…or re-fund my money. She told me “I will re-cook the rice and the vegetables but not the chicken because you’ve already eaten part of it”. What in the WORLD. I just put your employees dirty hair in my mouth….and all you’re going to do is give me new rice and vegetables and then you are going to TAKE THE REST OF MY CHICKEN (yes half eaten but half was left!!!…IF YOU’RE GOING TO BE STINGY THEN AT LEAST COOK ME A NEW HALF OF CHICKEN BECAUSE THATS WHAT WAS LEFT ON MY PLATE!!!! Im APPALLED!!! Not only was I treated like a liar….i didn’t even fully get back my food that was given to them because of the hair.
If I wanted to be rude, I could have just asked for my money for ALL the food i ordered because of what just happened. I didn’t know it was going to be such a hassle to just ask for a new plate of food considering what I just went through.
I wasn’t in the mood to argue my point with them there and didn’t want to make a scene but now that I’m home I’m still so upset at what happened.
They should be ASHAMED of themselves for their customer service.
I will NEVERRRRRRR return here!!!!

Tip is included no matter the number in the party. There is a all you can eat sushi option. Sometimes there are dumplings, spring rolls, and edamame on the belt for grabs. If you read complaints about the ginger dressing, it is back to the way it was. The last time I got a bentobox it was perfect picture included.
