First visit to this Chinese. Chicken curry was lacking chicken, the beef chow mein with black bean sauce was watery and the beef was tough. The only enjoyable part of it all was the chips. Definitely won’t be back.

On holiday and opted for this Chinese takeaway. Ordered pancake roll, char sui pork with beansprouts, fried rice, sweet & sour sauce and salt&pepper chips (free prawn crackers) to share. Pancake roll was greasy and stodgy, Pork was tasteless, overloaded with stodgy beansprouts, the sauce was watery and no taste either. The only positive was the prawn crackers

It’s almost the best Chinese takeaway in Dumfries.

After reading rave reviews about the New Sunman, I gave it a go, 1 x Special curry F/R and 1 x Breast chicken curry F/R, outcome bloody awful, the F/R was very dark and salty due to the amount of Soy Sauce used, and the breast of chicken curry was 100% not chicken, god knows what it was but it was filled under B1n, the special curry was to say average, I normally use Canton Express or the Pine and Bamboo, which in my opinion are 1000 times better than the Sunman, needless to say I will not be rushing back to the New Sunman
