Food was wonderful and fresh! Staff were so friendly and kind. We have been looking for a new local place for a while and are so happy we found New Star. My husband isn’t a huge fan of Chinese food but even he loved it! We got Rangoons, chicken fingers (amazing!!!), steamed dumplings (delicious), honey chicken combo, kung po combo, chicken wings, steamed broccoli, and egg and spring rolls (for four adults) – serving sizes are enormous and we all thoroughly enjoyed it! We will be back!

We ordered here because our favorite Chinese restaurant was closed. After paying 85 dollars for the absolute worst meal I have ever eaten in my life, I have decided that we will never, and I mean never, order from here again. I ordered chicken lo mean. It was absolute tasteless. The few pieces of chicken that were in this dish were rubbery with no flavor at all. This place prides itself on the 5 pounds of spaghetti noodles and rice for the rice dishes thinking that this will appease their customers. Never again. They are also open 7 days per week. No reset day. This is disgusting, and further underscores why the food is so bland and disgusting. If it is Tuesday, and Forst Garden is closed for their reset, do yourself a favor and pay the extra money to order from Mr. Is or Ja Mai in Madison.

I got the house special general tso. It’s was a good size portion, white meat and tasted great. The crab ragoons are fantastic too. I will definitely be back. The staff is friendly, food was ready when promised

Don’t believe these 1 star reviews, it’s clear they were reviewed all within 24 hours, by several “new” Google accounts. I suspect it is their competitors.
I love new star Chinese! The owners are so nice and they will bend over backwards to make sure you get exactly what you want, they even stayed open a little late for me one night. I’d worked a 10 hr shift, and had just driven 2 hrs to get home and it was so appreciated.

Yesterday I ordered food from this Chinese restaurant for the first time. I couldn’t believe there was such bad food in the world. I ordered takeout and opened it. It was full of soaked vegetables and noodles. So I would rather not eat it and throw it into the trash. At the same time, I felt it was a pity not because of the food but because their lo mein was so expensive. It felt like I was using my money to buy a bunch of garbage.
