New Seoul Korean Charcoal BBQ is hands down one of the BEST dining experiences in the Chicago suburbs. The oak wood charcoal makes a huge difference — you can actually taste the authentic smoky flavor that you just can’t get from gas grills. The meats are incredibly fresh and high quality. Every bite was tender, juicy, and perfectly caramelized. If you want real Korean BBQ done right, this is the place!

WE LOVE THIS PLACE ‼️
wallet friendly korean bbq
for $28-40 you get one meat and unlimited sides which is enough food to feed two people (price depends on what meat u get)

my boyfriend and i discovered this beautiful little gem by accident and it’s our go-to spot. we came here for our 6 month anniversary today and we were sad to see it wasn’t busy but we don’t understand why because the food is SOOO delicious and the atmosphere is great
(the first time we came here the owner greeted us and was very welcoming)
we ordered the bbq brisket and octopus. brisket was thin sliced and cooked beautifully. the octopus was well marinated and seasoned. the sides are very delicious. the BEST part was the dipping sauce for the meat. the darker sauce is well balanced DELICIOUS umami and not too sweet. they do not skimp on the meat or the sides. the salad that comes out with the bbq is very well seasoned as well. delicious and fresh crunchy salad. the tea they serve at the beginning is very good as well, it has a corn flavor that tastes like tortilla that i enjoyed very much. one thing i really enjoy about the atmosphere is that it feels like im welcomed into someone’s home this place has a nostalgic feel to it that’s really nice. i would recommend anyone looking for a delicious and not super expensive dinner to come here. one order of meat can feed two people easily but we were feeling gluttonous which is why we ordered 2 meats instead of one. unfortunately we live far away so we can’t come as often as we would like.

new seoul bbq is our go to spot when we want to go out for a special dinner when we’re not trying to spend too much and i think more people should visit here.

the images below are one dipping sauce that is very delicious i highly recommend. the other image is potato in a sweet sauce but it wasn’t candy sweet you know not too sweet. the other side in that image is vegetables and potatoes that are coated in this white sauce that is sweet and creamy. the last picture is my man holding a marinated octopus that we shared. i wish i took more pictures to show on here but i highly recommend this place if you live far from here the drive is so worth it

It’s like you’re being served by your relatives—they were so kind and accommodating, checking on us constantly. We had Galbi and the beef tongue. The banchans, especially the fish cake, were amazing. The portions were perfect as I didn’t feel overly full/overwhelmed compared to other places. We hope to come back to try their lunch entrees 🙂

We have been craving a charcoal-grilled kbbq experience for a minute, and we landed in this spot by accident when our original choice closed early. So happy we did!! It was relatively late on a weekday, and with a sleepy toddler, they welcomed us and placed us in a cozy corner away from the other patrons. Joe the owner was super helpful and friendly/funny being it was our first time (and definitely not going to be our last) at this family run restaurant. They even offered to make something special for the little one. Everything was delicious and the service was top notch. For mains, we ordered the beef brisket, pork belly, and octopus. One of our party originally ordered the liver bbq but it may have been too gamey for her taste; they were extremely gracious in subbing the octopus. The banchan were all very tasty and fresh. Oh and the soon doo bu was truly like a warm hug. Though I have to say that my favorite dish was the oyster omelette appetizer (oysters with egg batter)! Ended the night with some Yakult milk and satisfied tummies. Forgot to take pictures because we dove right in. Cannot wait to return!

Best Korean charcoal BBQ in Chicagoland. It’s been in the business for 24 years, and unfortunately it’s our first visit.

As a start, Side dishes are delicious, especially the salad is so good.

Beef and eels are tender and tasty. Rich, aromatic wood smoke.

Very friendly service.

Memorable dining, and we will return.

I had the pleasure of dining at NEW SEOUL Korean Charcoal B.B.Q., and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish.

The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, creating a perfect setting for both casual dining and special occasions. The decor beautifully reflects Korean culture, adding to the overall dining experience.

The menu offers a wide variety of authentic Korean dishes, with an impressive selection of meats for the BBQ. Each option is fresh and of high quality, and the marinated choices are particularly delicious. The attentive staff provided excellent recommendations, ensuring that we got the most out of our meal.

One of the highlights was the charcoal grilling, which enhanced the flavor of the meats, creating a delightful smoky aroma that filled the air. The banchan (side dishes) were equally impressive, offering a delightful array of flavors that complemented our main dishes perfectly.

Service was prompt and friendly, with our server checking in regularly to ensure we had everything we needed. Their knowledge of the menu and willingness to answer questions added to the overall positive experience.

Overall, NEW SEOUL Korean Charcoal B.B.Q. is a fantastic spot for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Korean cuisine in a comfortable setting. I highly recommend it to both newcomers and seasoned fans of Korean BBQ alike. I look forward to my next visit!

One of the best Korean restaurants in the suburbs. Everything was delicious, the meats were very tender and marinated well and also, they serve this salad that is one of the best salads I’ve ever had. I don’t know what kind of dressing they put but it’s delicious!

Me and my friend ordered the japchae as an appetizer, and for kbbq we ordered the marinated galbi. For the amount of food we received including side dishes, we got a good amount for the price we paid. (Bill total was $77 without tip) the galbi was really good not too rich, and the japchae was perfect. The service was really good and they explained the dishes, and constantly checked on us during kbbq to see if we were cooking the meat right. They also gave us free yakult. Would definitely recommend

Amazing service and the owner is very attentive. The appetizers and side dishes are delicious too. However, I must say the meat quality here disappoints me, especially considering their price. Their exhaust hood also fails and our room was full of smokes even though the owner tried to help.

Our first time here was amazing! Not many restaurants have charcoal bbq. The bulgogi was seasoned perfectly. The seafood pancake was one of best dishes. Generous portions and the meats were very tender and flavorful. Truly a great experience!
