We decided to eat dinner here because it had a good rating and was dog friendly but we were far from impressed.
We were sat at a table that had not been cleaned and had to ask the waitress to clean it. They already had water bowls for the dogs lined up at the tables outside, so that was nice. My boyfriend ordered a drink that didn’t come out until halfway through our food and it didn’t even fill the cup. The picture is how it came out. We both ordered the boneless wings and the sauce was good but they tasted like McDonald’s chicken nuggets–fake and spongy. They didn’t even come with carrots and celery like most wings do. Maybe the other food is good but steer clear of the wings.

After hiking all day we came into town to eat. The service was great and so was the atmosphere. We also loved that we could bring out dog and there were plenty of water bowls. The food however was not so good. The chicken wasn’t chicken it looked like a sponge and it did not taste very good. The marinade was good. Maybe if I had gotten something different it would be a completely different review.

Just happened to be in the area and found this spot. The view was amazing, the town itself was adorable, the food was absolutely on point. I do wish the serving sizes were a little bigger for the price. But literally that’s my only complaint. Beyond that this place was awesome and I’d definitely eat here again. Highly recommend.

Excellent experience for lunch. The NRB burger and chips was excellent and a flight of 3 draft beers was a perfect complement to the food. My wife recommended her wings, an order of 6 meaty wings were prepared with two different sauces. We’ll be back and highly recommend this spot.

We visit New River Brewing Ale House every time we’re in West Jefferson, and it never disappoints! The beer flights are excellent, and the wings and pulled pork fries are absolute musts. The staff is always friendly, and we love that the outdoor area is dog-friendly — they even provide water bowls for pups!
Sharing one of my photos from our visit. Feel free to use it, New River Brewing! No charge, just showing love for one of our favorite spots.

I still can’t believe how good this place was, the staff is beyond friendly and the food is absolutely amazing! We randomly found this place while on a long trip, the quick pitstop couldn’t be better.

Really impressed. Have drove by this place many times and thought about stopping in. Well finally pulled the trigger and gave them a try. So glad we did too. Food was really good, in fact the cheese curds might be the best I’ve ever had. Seating was kind of awkward with customers sitting higher at tables beside you and kind of at close quarters. A bit of a drawback. Might sit outside next time.Regardless I will deffinitly be going back again. Great food! House brew was pretty amazing also. Great selection.

Cool stop for lunch. Had the classic burger. It would have been a lot better if the party was thicker. It was a bit small. Also a bit too greasy.
Great atmosphere. Busy.

Had some great brisket, slaw, mac & cheese and a Crown and coke (I know, Ale House, but I felt like something different). Great food (brisket was great with good portion size and BBQ sauce), quick and friendly service with a relaxed, local atmospher. Will definately return.

The brisket was very tasty with thier BBQ sauce. My wife got the Cuban sandwich with the gluten free bun. She enjoyed it very much. We hope to be back soon!
