This place is the real deal. The pho hits every time… rich broth, fresh toppings, huge portions. Egg rolls are crispy, grilled meats are packed with flavor, and the vermicelli bowls are solid. Oh and the Vietnamese coffee? Careful… it’s tasty but so strong it might have you running laps around your neighborhood.

My Valley Tradition – The Best Pho at New Phở 999
I mostly work in downtown Los Angeles, but on the days when work brings me to the San Fernando Valley, I have a tradition, I always stop at New Phở 999. It’s not even a question anymore. After a long day, nothing resets me like a steaming, fragrant bowl of their pho.
I once asked the chef why the broth is so unbelievably good, and he told me they simmer the beef broth for over 8½ hours. That kind of care and patience shows in every sip…rich, balanced, and deeply comforting. I eat pho everywhere, Orange County, Koreatown, Downtown, but nothing compares to the authentic, family recipe here.
When I’m solo, I stick to pho (and sometimes a rice dish that I can’t finish and happily take home for the next day). When I bring friends, family, or my partner, we go all out, grilled meats over rice, vermicelli noodles, crispy egg rolls, shrimp spring rolls. Every dish is a hit, and often I’ll order extra just to bring home because it’s that good. And I can’t forget about the Vietnamese coffee… don’t drink a whole one to yourself if you’re not a real coffee drinker for this stuff is potent!
The staff are friendly, the portions are generous, and the flavors are unmatched. For me, New Phở 999 isn’t just a restaurant, it’s become a ritual, a little reward I look forward to whenever I’m in the Valley.
If you love pho, this is a must. If you think you’ve already had the best pho in LA, come here and prepare to be proven wrong.

I’ve had a lot of pho, this is good. Above average portion size. Broth is a very whole body broth. Nice atmosphere and did not get approached once during the meal which is great.

The presentation of the pho and the flavor are TOO NOTCH! I ordered No. 9 out of over 100 items they offered, and the broth was so tasty, the noodles had perfect texture, the briskets were fire! Tender and delicious! The onions on top spoke how authentic it was!
the pho side plate was incredibly fresh! Some pho places might serve not so fresh bean sprouts but they sure offer the freshest here! It meant a lot to me

Best pho in the valley! I just moved from San Jose, which people say has some of the best Vietnamese food outside of Vietnam, and was struggling to find a Pho place of the same caliber before I tried this place. Everything was delicious and authentic and the meat was good quality. Best in the area by a long shot

Honestly the best pho I have ever had. I’m military so I travel a lot and first time here in LA came walking in. I’m very picky to my Thai teas and omg hands down on my top list. Perfect ratio and sweetness. The pho was so delicious and can tell it was effort in the broth. I’d definitely come drive down here again. The service was so nice can tell it’s a family owned establishment.

One of the best Pho in Town. You get so much for a large bowl that I can never finish. I usually get Pho Tai and the beef slices are so thin that it melts in your mouth. The broth is also heaven even on a hot day. Best part is that your food comes out quick!

Service is consistently prompt, without being overbearing, which makes it nice to enjoy family time and conversations. Most importantly, the food is always fresh and flavorful. The broth is rich, the noodles perfectly cooked, and the toppings crisp and vibrant. Also love the egg rolls and rice dishes. The quality of the food is obvious at first sight/bite.
