Passed 2 other Chinese places due to long wait times. This place was not busy and had interesting options. I have not been to a Chinese restaurant that gives you a bowl of soy sauce, and I mean a good sized bowl, not a tiny cup. I hadn’t had chicken egg foo young and it was good. The soy sauce is really tasty, not like the usual take out standard. I got 2 meals out of my carry out order.

New Peking is my favorite Chinese restaurant in KC – the food is delicious and the staff are very friendly. Their orange and sesame chicken are so good and the portions are generous. Their crab rangoon are some of the best! I can’t recommend them enough for both dine in and carry out.

Incredible. Their rangoons are flaky and crispy, we got the garlic chicken with vegetables and the vegetables were nice and tender! Good flavor, and was not too salty. Egg drop soup was delicious and had extra good stuff in it. You could tell everything was made with love, and wasn’t just thrown together! One of the best Chinese food meals I’ve had in my life lol

I’ve been craving Chinese food for a long time, and thank God I found this place — it truly met my expectations. From the first bite, the flavors were bold, balanced, and unmistakably fresh. Each dish tasted thoughtfully prepared, with the right textures and confident seasoning.

What impressed me most was how well the restaurant delivered on both taste and satisfaction. This is the kind of spot you’d recommend without hesitation — not just because it’s good, but because it genuinely delivers on what it promises. If you’re craving quality Chinese food that hits the mark, this place is worth a visit.

I’ve been coming here ~once a week almost every week for a year now, and I love this place! The staff are all super friendly, the service is great, and I love the food- they definitely don’t skimp out on portions, leftovers are guaranteed! Their lunch deals are also really good, and they have some of my favorite egg drop soup.

(If you want recs, Mongolian Beef is a favorite to most, but my personal favorites are the curry chicken and green bean chicken!)

The service here is absolutely on point. The servers took care of us and answered any questions we had. You order your meal at the front counter and then you go sit in the restaurant. The portions are huge and delicious. The only dish we were not loving was the pepper beef. The menu says it would be on a sizzling hot plate and it wasn’t. The beef was tender but just missing the sear flavors. We ordered seafood soup, general tsos chicken, Cantonese duck, eggrolls, an egg drop soup, bok choy, sizzling pepper beef, and triple delight. We had a group of 5 and there was so much left over. The portions were a lot bigger than what we expected. I would definitely eat here again

Came here with a friend. You come in, order at the counter (do not pay yet), then pick your seat inside the restaurant. We got the Cantonese duck and egg rolls as an appetizer. Egg rolls were great. Duck was great. It came cut, and with crispy skin on it. Easy to eat. Wish it had more meat on the bone because the meat was so good. My friend and I ordered the while duck and finished it. The waiter was very attentive and visited our table several times to make sure we were okay.

Hands down the best Chinese restaurant in town!!! Great food, authentic taste that those “fast food” Chinese places just don’t have. It even out does Bo Lings, red wok, and China feast!!!

Even if you have to drive it’s worth it!!
