Went today to buy samosas and besan barfi. The samosas were good. Unfortunately, the besan barfi didn’t meet my expectations. The cashier seemed a bit uninterested when I had questions, and after leaving the store I realized I may have been overcharged for the barfi. Given that I traveled from Vancouver, I don’t think I would return.

I often visit this restaurant and always have a great experience, especially because of Prabh. She is always so nice, kind, and welcoming to every customer. Her friendly attitude and warm smile make the place feel very comfortable. She takes great care of customers and always makes sure everything is perfect.

Had a wonderful dinner at New Parmar! The food was absolutely delicious, full of authentic flavors, and served fresh and hot. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, making it a perfect place to enjoy a relaxed meal.

A special shout-out to our server Prabh — she was amazing at her job. Very polite, attentive, and professional. She made sure we were comfortable, checked in at the right times, and her service really enhanced our overall dining experience.

Highly recommend New Parmar for great food and excellent service. Will definitely be coming back!

I ordered amritsari kulcha- it was delivery so i knew it would not be that crisp but I am confident that it would it be crisp in the restuarant. The channa gravy is amazing -right amount of spicy and the spices. I would definitly recommend this place if you are craving for amritsari kulcha channa.

So happy to have this new Indian restaurant in the neighborhood! The food was flavorful and fresh, and everything I tried was delicious. What really stood out was the service—the girls working there were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and made the whole experience even better. Yesterday, I went there and order 1 samosa chana, 2 allu parathas and 2 masala tea for dine in. I was very great experience. I never had that taste of allu parathas anywhere before like in this restaurant. That was very great and very tasty. Samosa chana was also very tasty. But the masala tea I like very much. It was like I had in India. I really would recommend to others that they should go in the parmar restaurant for dine in special. Very great experience. Nice staff. The staff has very good behavior, they are friendly. I like that place.

No too much noise, very easy to talk.

⭐ 1 Star Review: Terrible Experience with Undercooked Jalebi and Rude Service.

I had a very bad experience at New Parmar Restaurant (121B, 13745 72 Ave, Surrey, BC) when I ordered 1 pound of Jalebi for $6.

Right after picking up the order and opening the box, I was shocked to see that the jalebi was completely undercooked, soft, and soggy — it looked more like yellow jelly threads than proper jalebi. Since I had bought it for a family gathering outside Surrey, I couldn’t return it immediately.

When I came back the next day, I took the uneaten box along with my payment receipt and explained the issue. The staff went to the kitchen and came back with an excuse saying, “This happened because the jalebi was kept hot in the box.” I asked, “Is that my fault?” She then said, “We can’t accept this because it’s been many days.”

I told her clearly that it had only been 48 hours day, and jalebis don’t turn into jelly in just a day — that’s a clear sign they were badly made. After going back and forth, she finally agreed to a refund of $5 instead of $6, claiming the box was lighter.

When I asked her to weigh it in front of me, she tried to do it quickly so I couldn’t see the reading. I asked her to do it again properly — and it turned out the box was only 0.05 lb less than a full pound! Still, she insisted on cutting $1 for that small difference, which was ridiculous.

I told her that any decent sweets shop would even offer that much as a free sample, not make excuses and cheat customers.

Honestly, this place is extremely unprofessional, dishonest, and rude. The quality of the sweets was terrible, and the attitude of the staff made it even worse.

Never going back to New Parmar again. They completely ruined what was supposed to be a festive treat for my family.

It’s very disappointing to see your dishonest response to my genuine complaint. First of all, your claim that I behaved rudely is completely false — I was with two friends and we were respectful the entire time, despite the poor quality of food we received. The cucumbers were clearly old (photos were shared), and the naan was stale. If you truly served fresh food, you wouldn’t need to defend yourself with false accusations.

Also, one of your own staff members, Jaspreet Kaur, privately admitted that you sometimes serve old or leftover food. I didn’t even ask for a refund — I just expected clean, fresh food like any customer should.

Instead of apologizing or taking accountability, you’re trying to cover up your mistakes and blame the customer. If you continue denying the truth, I will keep reporting this and escalate it further — including reporting to CBSA if needed — since you seem to be misusing your business and staff responsibilities.

All I expected was fresh, hygienic food and honest service. You failed to deliver both.

The staff are very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The person at the main counter was especially nice—polite, helpful, and made the whole experience even better. We visited the new location near the boarder after dance class to grab a few quick samosas. The employees greeted us at the door & opened it for us, gave us aloo golbi and other sweets to taste while we waited, and were so kind to my children. Both the veggie and paneer samosas were very tasty. Cant wait to try more of their stuff.
