This visit was just okay, but definitely not what I remember from past experiences. I swore the food used to be more plentiful and flavorful, which is why I always looked forward to coming back. Unfortunately, the quality and portions seem to have gone downhill.
The chargrilled oysters were the biggest disappointment. Each one was about the size of a dime, yet still priced as if they were full-sized. The gumbo also fell short — it only had shrimp and the overall flavor was just average, nothing that really stood out. Another letdown was the Voodoo rolls. The portion size has greatly decreased, and now you only receive two rolls sliced into three pieces, which makes it look like more than it really is. For the price, it felt underwhelming compared to what I used to get.
On the brighter side, my husband enjoyed his fried shrimp plate, which seemed to be one of the stronger options. The cocktails were also a highlight. They were tasty, balanced, and reasonably priced, which helped improve the overall experience. Service was quick once we were seated, and the staff worked efficiently, which I appreciated.
Overall, while the visit wasn’t terrible, it also wasn’t memorable. I truly hope management addresses the consistency and portion sizes, because this used to be one of my favorite spots. With a few improvements, I believe they could get back to the quality that once made them stand out.

Paige did a fantastic job, didn’t even write anything down! The food was scrumptious and the portions were out of this world! So glad the other restaurant was closed which is how we ended up here!

I eat at this place all of the time. I’ve brought my family multiple times. I get the lunch specials probably every other week if I can afford a 15 dollar lunch. Which isn’t bad because I eat on it for 2 days. I usually do the red beans or speghetti. And the speghetti I got today was so damn good I just had to come and leave a good review. I love this place. Its one of the best if you ask me.

This place has earned it’s reputation as one of the best seafood restaurants in New Orleans. I asked the server for recommendations and she steered me to the Catfish Loozianne. Absolutely delicious!

I recently came here for the first time for a business lunch and I was so impressed with the food and service. I returned a couple weeks later for dinner. The service was exceptional, I forget our waiters name, but he was mid 40s white guy with close cut almost bald head. Exceptional service!!! the food was awesome as well, we had a few appetizers and some main dishes. Everybody at the table loved it. I think the special we got was called eggplant Napoleon or something like that? I’m not sure. I just know it was tasty!!

I’ve eaten here before but not since before the pandemic. This food experience was not what I hoped it would be. Service was good and the time it took to get the food was reasonable. The voodoo rolls are a lot smaller and don’t taste as fresh as before. The spinach and artichoke dip was the worst! It was so dry that the chips couldn’t pick it up. The (2) pasta dishes were better but could use more seasoning. The chicken and fish were bland like no seasoning was used and the sauces over spaghetti noodles were basic. I was really disappointed considering the prices and food. Definitely overpriced for the serving sizes. For (2) orders of pasta and (2) appetizers, my total was $75 without tip.

I visited with my family based off a recommendation from a friend and we were not disappointed. The voodoo egg rolls were on just about every table in the restaurant. The egg rolls did not disappoint us. The were delicious and we ate them in minutes. All the food there was so appealing and fresh. We have grilled catfish, fried catfish, fried shrimp and more. The gumbo was tasty and I enjoyed the crawfish stew. We met the owner and he was so friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back again.

After visiting New Orleans Food & Spirits previously, I requested of my husband to go here when we visited New Orleans again. Although we had to do takeout, the Bon Temps Chicken was just as I remember. My husband and I both commented that they gave large portion sizes. I couldn’t even finish all my food, but it was soooo very good. My only recommendation would be to provide sturdier to-go containers and utensils. The knife was too flimsy to cut the chicken, and I was afraid once the knife did cut the chicken that it would through the styrofoam. Nevertheless, I made it work. Next time I’ll be sure to have enough to dine in. The restaurant is really nice.

I’ve eaten here twice now and the grill Masters are awesome. The help is nice and the food is good. Worth a few more return trips. Last thing I got was catfish with fresh vegetables, yum, before that yellow fin tuna and shrimp and the voodoo roll. Great food. Will return

Great clean open air space with big plants and nice people everywhere. Fast seating and good speed on food also. Packed on a Tuesday. Plaza on the tip of tough neighborhood but pleasantly surprised when entering. Good menu. Everyone highlights red fish or catfish, no grouper, snapper etc. grilled oysters were good but I don’t like the booboo in them. Parm cheese on top delicious. Bread was basic with it. The food is visually appealing, I mean magazine worthy. My Pecan catfish was so unique. The breading was too thick to me. Onion rings beautiful but not so flavorful and so were the hush puppies. Uncle loves the stuffed eggplant dish and comes all the time. Impressed with the chef work upfront
