My recent visit to New No. 1 Chinese Kitchen was underwhelming. Despite ordering shrimp mixed vegetables with white rice, I received shrimp and broccoli instead. This mix-up, coupled with unfriendly service, dampened the experience. While the food quality was decent, the lack of attention to detail and hospitality left much to be desired. Overall, my visit fell short of expectations.

I ordered some food for delivery and the presentation when I opened the package was horrible, the rice tasted like it was warmed up after being in the freezer for a few days. I would rather get food from Flushing then order from here.

The food has always been meh at best, but the disrespect and time it takes to get your food is obnoxious. When they say 15 min it’s almost always 30 plus. The last straw was my most recent trip the woman lied saying my food was ready when it hadn’t even been made yet after me waiting outside for over 45 minutes! Mind you I checked in with them when I got there which was 15 minutes after calling. My entire lunch hour and they still didn’t have my food. The lady told me three times in person ohh not ready yet. Then lied and told me it’s ready and proceeded to ask what did I order after telling me it’s ready and had the chef start making it then I told her I don’t even want it and just left.

I wish the lunch portion was a bit larger. It’s less food compared to other take out, but I guess for the food prices in the area, it’s fine. I’ve only gotten the beef and broccoli lunch special and it is super good. Beef is tender, broccoli is not over cooked and the sauce is tasty. Egg roll is also very good, not a pool of oil in the baggie like other places. No frills place, just a takeout window.

We just placed an ordered an order. It said it was hand delivered. We didn’t receive our order. It had to be hand delivered to us. My husband is on the phone agueing with them now to credit our account for $40. Actually he is driving there now to get our account credited

A take out place that brings down the atmosphere score. But the food is good and at a reasonable price. It’s very popular with contractors and their workers at lunchtime, so I recommend calling your order in.
