Social Profile:

We’ve been keeping it local with creative comfort food and socially conscious coffees since 1995. Seven days a week we are serving up creative comfort food using fresh, honest ingredients from around the southeast. We roast our own coffee in small batches, bake our breads and pastries in house and make our soups from scratch every day. We’re also proud to serve the best of what we don’t make in house, like Boars Head meats, Ghirardelli chocolate, Duke’s mayo & American grown teas from the Charleston Tea Garden. New Moon is an innovative culinary family fueled by community and a passion for bringing people together over great food & the perfect cup of coffee.

Upbeat cafe offering freshly roasted coffee beans & a menu of housemade pastries, soups & entrees.

Lovely cafe for a warm coffee and breakfast sandwich. Fun vibes with a cute loft to hang out in. I enjoyed every bite and the served was lovely! The coffee is locally roasted and they make their own pastries. Much better prices than the local hotel breakfast!

My favorite downtown eatery! Staff is friendly and welcoming. I’ve never had a bad meal or drink here. I love the creativity in the menu, they have basics but always have more unique stuff that makes me excited to try. (Also the baked goods- Those handmade pop tarts??? Are you kidding me???)
Everything is made fresh when you order it so don’t expect your food to be ready in 30 seconds. It is worth the 5-8 minute wait for a to-go order, I PROMISE.
Their outside eating area is one of my favorites in Augusta. I love the personality and attention to local causes and resources that have been put into this place.
Go support them for real, because New Moon is the pinnacle of what a downtown Augusta business should strive for!

Lunch in downtown Augusta can go in a lot of directions, but today we wanted something inexpensive, local in spirit, and fresh enough to feel like a small reset in the middle of the day. Google nudged us toward New Moon Cafe, and while the signage from the street is minimal enough that we almost walked past it, we eventually found our way inside and were glad we did.

At 12:30 on a Saturday the timing worked in our favor. We stepped right up to the counter with no queue at all, placed our order, and settled in. By the time our food arrived about fifteen minutes later, the line had grown to the point where people were waiting nearly that long just to order, which gave the whole place that lively, slightly chaotic weekend energy without ever feeling rushed.

Mrs. K chose the smoked salmon bagel, which came out panini pressed, a small twist on a classic that she enjoyed. I am still keeping things keto, so the chef’s salad with blue cheese was exactly what I needed, a generous portion that felt balanced and satisfying without pushing me off track. They offer plenty of coffee drinks and smoothie combinations, but we kept things simple and were perfectly happy with our choices.

There is outdoor seating if that is your preference, and the whole experience had that relaxed, local charm that makes Augusta lunches feel unhurried even when the dining room is filling up around you.

The food was fabulous and reasonably priced. Despite the line to order from time we got in it till being served was less than 10 minutes. The staff keeps it pretty clean. Loved the outdoor seating. Loved they had an option for water not pushing the more expensive water in a bottle.

Recently visited Augusta on a business trip and New Moon was recommended as a breakfast spot within walking distance of where I was staying.

The atmosphere was calm but a little to the left of my liking. Service was nice but very slow and they weren’t busy so no sense of urgency. The food was decent and amount given for price fair but overall nothing spectacular.

I would be willing to give the place one more shot as my kid loved their homemade blueberry pop tart and the coffee was great but perhaps next time I’ll be more discerning about what I order.

Food was wonderful, Stephanie has excellent knowledge of ingredients and how they are made, easy substitutions, PLENTY of combinations not only with their drinks but with cream cheese variants and bagels. Key things we loved were their patato salad(made in house), red pepper sauce (made in house) Loved the atmosphere and music. Great breakfast and lunch combo place. We will be back again soon!!

The two sandwiches we ordered were very good, but waiting 43 minutes to receive them was unacceptable.
After waiting a long time, I went to the pickup counter to ask how much longer and felt completely dismissed. I then stood in line again to ask about our order that had been placed 40 minutes prior. The cashier was unapologetic and simply said there was nothing he could do and that they were going as fast as they could. Waiting 45 minutes for two sandwiches is unreasonable.
When the food was finally ready, the employee walked right past me and placed it on a table we weren’t even sitting at. By that point, I was too frustrated to truly enjoy the meal. The food was good, but the service and wait time were very disappointing.

Cool breakfast spot in the main part of Augusta.

Very eclectic decor and ambience. The menu items have unique and funny names but they have a cross sample of your traditional breakfast fare.
Their bowls and home made baked goods are very good. The home made ‘pop tart’ was excellent.

Parking is easy, even during the busiest times of the day. If you’re a breakfast person you won’t be disappointed.

Awesome breakfast/lunch cafe in Augusta. The line was a little long but their food and service makes the wait worth while.

We tried the DT Augusta Style grits bowl and it was a dream. Delicious, flavorful and a great twist to an ordinary bowl of grits. The breakfast sandwich was also phenomenal. The eggs were a bit under-salted but the turkey patty and cheese filled in that gap.

Their coffee also hits the spot. Their beans are bold and intense but not bitter making the cappuccino and latte very very enjoyable. Additionally, their atomic lemonade was such a delight. I recommend the blueberry lemonade with lavender.

I was not expecting the croissant to be so tasty. It was flaky, buttery goodness. Would recommend their chicken salad sandwich. There’s plenty of space in the interior for seating, and they’ve got an outdoor section too. It’s a good place to meet someone for a business coffee and a bite to eat.
