Absolutely love this place!
Great spot for classic American-Chinese takeout. The food is always hot, fresh, and flavorful. I usually get the General Tso’s Chicken and pork fried rice—both are consistently delicious. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the service is super quick. Definitely my go-to for takeout in the area!

I literally ordered from this place, maybe a couple of months ago and to be honest with you when I move here to Naugatuck. I was a little bit concerned because I used to live in Ansonia and I used to order from Easton bistro and they’re the best. I just gotta say their food is delicious and I will never trade them for anything so since I moved to Naugatuck. I was really afraid to try any restaurant in this town so I’ve been ordering from this restaurant ever since because their food was delicious and I’m talking about was delicious. The food no longer taste good anymore. I noticed that twice in a row I ordered from them and I don’t order all the time because Chinese food is not good to eat all the time So both times did I order from them for some reason the rice taste like it’s raw like it’s kinda hard it’s not even tender the chicken wings they taste weird they don’t even taste like chicken wings. The soup didn’t taste like wonton soup. It tasted like it was hard and stale so every time I wanna order Chinese food I think about I’m not gonna order from them anymore because in the beginning, it was delicious and now the food doesn’t taste fresh at all. I don’t know if they change owners. I don’t know if it’s new owners but the old owners they were there before they were really good and making the food and I feel like it’s in a new management and this restaurant I’m sorry to say I don’t mean to be mean but I’m not gonna be ordering from you guys any longer.

Ordered take out, estimated delivery was 45 minutes and it took almost two hours. When it arrived my food was barely warm, nevermind hot. I ordered it spicy and it wasn’t even close. The chicken tasted like it was either stored or cooked in a damp basement. The rice was the saving grace and even that was subpar.

I’ve ordered from here many times and it was my favorite place but the last few times have not been good at all and it makes me wonder if they’ve made some big changes in house. Either new people prepping the food or a new vendor for their items. Delivery driver is always super kind and I’ve had no issues with service so it pains me to write this review.
Pork egg rolls now have the most minuscule amount of pork that it’s shouldn’t even be called a pork egg roll
Golden fingers have always been greasy so they put a napkin in the package..now that napkin is so saturated that it’s totally stuck to the food AND there’s still enough grease to soak through two full paper towels. The quality of the chicken has also changed drastically. Each bite is rubbery/weirdly chewy and tonight’s also smelled like it was sitting in the fridge uncovered before they cooked my order.

My son ordered his meal and paid $$ when he got his order delivered it was the wrong order. He has been calling to have this mix up fixed but the people at this restaurant keep telling him he has to speak with the boss. They hang up and now laugh when they answer and hang up. This is poor customer service and we pray they do not keep getting away with these practices! Im so sad because we have been customers for years. Now our families and friends have told us they had the same issues. Not Good New Moon NOT GOOD! We will be calling the bank to fight the charges as services were not rendered

Food was okay, not my favorite. Mozzarella sticks were good, but came with no marinara sauce. Fried rice was good, lo maim was super bland and shrimp was VERY shrimpy. Egg roll was good. I would def not get the lo melin again though, feel like I wasted money on that one. Women at pick up was friendly.

Ordered fried Tilapia, steamed dumplings & 20oz soda =
$17.13! If you look @ the attached pic the “tilapia” is NOT tilapia but instead frozen store bought fish fillets. The dumplings look like they came prepared & all they did was steam them. Prices have also gone up since original owner but quality has gone down. I was also overcharged by about a $1. Always compare what they charge you with the prices on the menu & make sure to include sales tax

High score on the most recent Health Department Inspection. Great food, good cooks, authentic Chinese food. New Moon has been around since the early 80s when the father came over as an immigrant. It’s currently in it’s second generation. Everything they make is with their own hands. If you’re around in the morning you can see them prepping the days food. I’ve been eating at New Moon since 94. They are a tight family. Taking Tuesdays off to enjoy the summer vacation with their children. It’s not about food, pricing or cleanliness. It’s about knowing the family on a personal level. It’s about off menu cooking. It’s about helping thier neighbors. I’ve witnessed them hand food to people in need. No questions asked. I’m not loyal to New Moon for the food and it’s quality. I’m loyal to New Moon because New Moon is a good neighbor. I’m happy they came to Naugatuck. You will be too.
Let me also say that I went through the reviews and all but 2 were from 1 person setting up multiple accounts to discredit the restaurant. He is a former driver that was fired for having alcohol in his dystem, refusing to pay back $200 he borrowed and making delivering food late on purpose.
It’s sad when a company suffers from reviews by a disgruntled former employee.
I have reported him to Google and confronted him personally.
