We ordered a ton of food from this place on Dec 19th at ~4PM. Long story short, our group ordered “The Family Dinner”, “Crab Rangoons”, “Fried Rice”, “3 sushi rolls”, etc.
2 of our 4 split some of the sushi, while 2 ate the rice and more of the family dinner.
2 that ate the sushi both got severe food poisoning the next day. Never in our lives have any of us had to puke and diarrhea OVER 10 times in under 10 hours over a bad meal. Our other friend has also been vomiting multiple times.
We tried calling the resuaturant to report this and had to jump through hoops to get to a manager after specifically saying that 2 people were sick off their food. The manager proceeds to tell us he can’t find out order and that “NO ONE paid the dollar amount that show’s up on my AMEX”. Basically saying we were lying. We have the call recording at the end where the manager downplays the whole things and says that we are lying and never ordered food at their restaurant. He tells his worker that we were spamming their restaurant. He proceeds to say that “we are very busy and don’t have time to play games and that if we are serious that we need to come into the restaurant and talk in person”.
THIS IS EXTREMELY CONCERNING AND SHOULD BE ILLEGAL. This restaurant should be investigated ASAP.
Screenshot of the AMEX transaction shared here + a pic of us picking up the food. Only reason we have this is because it took over 30 minutes for us to get our food because their sushi chef hadn’t gotten to work yet.
We will be filing complaints with GDOPH, and other health organizations in Georgia solely due to how the manager basically called us liars and told us we never ordered from the restaurant and just downplayed the entire food poisoning.
We have been loyal customers of this restaurant for a long time and have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Unfortunately, today’s experience was extremely disappointing due to the behavior of the server.
We arrived with a small kids’ hamburger that we had purchased separately for our daughter, as she does not like the food here. We have done this before without any issues. We were seated politely, and when we asked the person who seated us, he kindly confirmed that it was not a problem for our daughter to eat her hamburger, especially since we were still ordering and consuming food from the restaurant.
However, shortly after, the server approached us without greeting and, in a loud and aggressive tone, said: “Next time, do not come in with food.” His attitude was rude and unnecessary. To make matters worse, he returned and loudly shouted in front of other customers, in a humiliating and racist manner: “THEY ARE NOT GOING TO ENTER MY RESTAURANT WITH FOOD FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE.”
This was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful, especially considering it was a small child with a simple hamburger. If there was a policy issue, it should have been communicated privately and respectfully, not shouted across the restaurant in a way that embarrassed and humiliated us in front of others.
Because of this experience, we will not be returning. The server in question appears to be the one in charge — a young man who wears a cap, has tattoos, and usually wears shorts. I truly believe the owner should be more selective when hiring staff and ensure they are professional, respectful, and educated in how to treat customers.
Very disappointing experience.
I have been here a couple of times, and the food was amazing, the service was ok, because they were short staffed, and I hope you find more staff because this is a great place to work.
Highly recommend the Family Meals. They range to many people, and they are verry good.
Highly recommend! Keep up the good work!
If happiness were served in a takeout container, it would come from New Lucky China. From the second you walk in, you’re greeted with vibes, flavor, and a team that deserves their own sitcom.
Molly absolutely stole the show — always delivering elite service while rocking her iconic sweatpants-only uniform. Comfortable? Yes. Professional? Somehow, also yes. A true role model for us all.
Shoutout to Emma, the Monday server and certified start-of-the-week MVP. Mondays are hard, but Emma makes them taste like sweet and sour chicken and hope. If you go on any other day… you missed out.
And lastly, Eddy, the legendary packer who NEVER forgets anything — only knows how to pack food with love. Watching him double-check, triple-check, forget again, and still get it right in the end is part of the New Lucky China experience. Truly unforgettable Edwina.
Came for a birthday dinner and somehow ended up in a live performance. The Lin family appeared out of nowhere, started singing with unmatched confidence, clapped whenever they remembered, and battled a candle that absolutely did not want to be there. Food was great, birthday achieved, reality slightly altered.
At one point they told me my call was just a “spam” call and he “didn’t have time for this.” Extremely disappointing to dismiss such a serious health concern from a paying customer. My family orders from this restaurant frequently and we will never be returning after this horrible experience.
