This Asian Fusion restaurant is located on Main Street in Manayunk. My first visit here a friend’s choice. We were here during the Ice Festival and they had Lion Dancers performing on the hour for the festival and Lunar New Year. Our waitress was very pleasant and understanding with friend who always has a difficult time deciding what to order. So finally he got a shrimp dish with rice along with the seaweed salad which I recommended. We both liked the salad and he liked his shrimp. I ordered a large bowl of wonton soup which was in a huge bowl filled with about 15 wonton noodle wraps filled with deliciously pork. The broth was excellent!! We finished with a chocolate mousse fir desert and left happy satisfied and energetically warm.

Great sushi spot in Manayunk, this fits all the boxes, if you want a cute datenight they have a very nice seating area, if you want more of the bar vibe and sushi while watching the game (which is what we did) they have that too.
Sushi was fresh and delicious, correctly priced. Staff was very kind and quick!
Definitely will come again!

I’ve been here a number of times with friends that live in the neighborhood and it never disappoints. The staff is great, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is comfortable.

We just finished dining here. As usual the food was pretty good and as usual the service was ok, not terrible and not great. The difference tonight was that an automatic gratuity of 20% was added to our check. When I asked the waiter about it he said that the auto-grat is added on all checks over $100. I found that odd especially as I’ve been in restaurant management for over 25 years and automatic gratuities have always been applied based on party size (usually 6 or more or 8 or more) and the server is usually supposed to inform you at the start of the meal that this will happen. Of course we were not informed. Our server was essentially an order taker, he did not exhibit any hospitality whatsoever. I asked what kind of dessert they had because it was my daughter’s birthday (9). He brought out the slice of cheesecake she ordered and didn’t even wish her Happy Birthday. There was no candle, no other employees to sing to her, nothing. The food runner who brought our sushi was only able to identify three of the five rolls we ordered when I asked her to tell us which was which. We’ve lived in Manayunk for 6+ years and have been eating here on a semi-regular basis normally ordering takeout or delivery because we’ve never been wowed when dining in, but this is where I draw the line. I usually start tipping at 20-25% but I won’t tip anyone for mediocre or poor service because they know they’re getting a guaranteed 20% tip! That’s just BS. We will no longer be dining at New Leaf and that’s disappointing for my daughter as it’s her favorite restaurant but you have lost my business by trying to protect yours in a manner that has created deception for your guests. Do better, hire better, train better and management should be visiting all tables. Know what’s happening in your restaurant!!!

Happy hour prices were extremely reasonable. Service was quick and friendly. Got the sushi pizza and three rolls. The rolls were fantastic, straightforward sushi. The sushi pizza, however, was nothing to write home about. We got it specifically because of all of the positive reviews, but it was disappointing. Covered in lots of sauces and texturally unappealing. I would come back here during happy hour and order sushi, but not during typical hours.

Lucked out grabbing dinner here on Valentine’s Day. Super chill vibes inside and the service was great. The food came out super quick and fresh from the on site Sushi Chefs.

I hate leaving bad reviews but this one was well deserved. The 1st red flag was having an 18yo working the bar. No knowledge of mixing drinks and more concerned with social media than customer service.
Next, I requested and Arnold Palmer and was gave lemon juice water and unsweetend peach tea separately and told to mix it myself, was also charged for both.
The food was good. 1 entree, 2 appetizers, “Aronld Palmer” and a club soda for $100. What a joke!!!!

Happy hour menu is pretty good, food quality is good despite the relatively low prices.
