We order at least once or twice a week…Food is always good n filling for the prices. I recommend anyone that wants a take home order, that likes Chinese meals. It’s plenty for one meal per person. And there is variety to choose from the menu! I gave this business 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It was really low quality food, the crab rangoon was not good at all, the rice was terrible, no flavor or egg it was like yellow colored, the sweet and sour chicken didn’t have any of the pineapple or green peppers with it, just bland sauce, not what I am used to at all. Really expensive $21 bucks plus a $2.00 tip. I was basically robbed and ripped off. I can get better rice in a frozen fried rice at the store for 3 bucks. I called them and they told me to bring my food back, like I can just leave work and drive another 20 minutes there and 20 minutes back. What a joke! You won’t have to wait for a table bc nobody is eating there.

Service is A1 plus! For example, I arrived a few minutes earlier than their open time. Decided to return to my truck, but they ran out to catch me and let me in to order. Fantastic!
The food is great! So is the selection. It’s always hot and tasty. The cost has risen this April of 2023 but not reflected in the menu (cost of printing new ones is expensive so understandable). The price increase is worth the service and food!
Only one (1) negative. The atmosphere is not fantastic. Small area, kinda drab by most standards. [Take note of my photos.]
It would be far better if they provided “oriental” scenery, even such curtains on the walls, and perhaps portable dividers between tables? Just to brighten the dining area. As stated, there is not a whole lot of space for seating, but this might make it more- what? Comfy? Cozy? Instead of appearing like a 1950s, left over diner. (Sarcasm NOT intended just the only way I can describe it).

Also, anyone else see that low review that stated they’ve never been here before? How in the HECK, or even WHY the heck would you leave a review at a place you’ve NEVER BEEN TO! Must take a real “special person” to just leave a bad review for a place they’ve never been to! You are lame af!
Anyways, since I moved to NL, I have found that King House is like a diamond in the rough compared to ANY Chinese place in the Fox Valley!! Although it is not a place to have an in-dining experience, as well as not having delivery service ( ) they make the food fresh. you can even see them cooking your order, they have great prices for the flavor and amount you get. Best crab Rangoons I’ve EVER had along with anything else I’ve ordered. From tso, to orange, sesame and sweet n sour chicken (which instead of smothering the freshly deep fried chicken in the sauce, they put it on the side so you can pour the amount you want on, so the breading won’t get saturated) to the lo mein, it all taste fresh instead of previously frozen. The kids are cute and sweet if you order upon arriving. It’s family owned which I will always choose over business chains.
Just a big bummer having only 2 Chinese places in town and neither deliver! But if they did, I’d choose this one everytime. The other place is decent if you want buffet style, but it’s not near as fresh as this place is!

Worst chinese I have ever had. Shrimp chowmein mostly celery shrimp rbbery and odd taste, eggroll ok not much flavor, woton soup smelled bad, fried rice had a couple pieces or pork with brown rice no vegs no taste even cookie chewy not crisp. It all went in the garbage and I intend to report them to health department for serving spoiled food/fish. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!

Called to complain of an extremely chewy beef chop suey we ordered for take out. I explained the rest of the meal, shrimp chop suey, and egg foo yung were excellent. Was told to bring bag in with receipt attached for a credit on another order. When I showed up today, she gave me a refund for the tough chop suey (which I preferred a credit on a new order, NOT a refund) I tried to start another order for take out, when the owner told me to GO. No more food, NO WANT NO Trouble. WTH????

Update one year after leaving the review below… I continue to order from these wonderful people/family at least once or twice a month & I do not understand the four star and three star reviews… I am incredibly fickle and picky and if anything things have gotten better with my ordering from this restaurant I encourage everyone be very careful reading the reviews if you want cheeseburger and fries, don’t go to a Chinese restaurant if you want excellent Chinese American takeout with excellent service and dependability, quick and easy continue to come here… No reason to change my review from a year ago below;
Excellent Chinese takeout! The family who owns & works here work hard & are very dependable providing customers decent amounts for a decent but not best price. As in, Food is great, price a bit more expensive than at least equally delicious takeout in Clintonville (my personal favorite) I really enjoy their hot & sour soup here & find it a great takeout when headed home to clintonville from Appleton. I am always greeted with a sincere smile & thank you! Highly recommend! In dining great pre-pandemic hope it returns again one day.

A friend of mine and myself stopped a few months back. Was rated pretty high. Could not eat more then 4 bites of General Tso Chicken. Was trying so hard to was so hungry. The service was 5 star but the Tso chicken made us disappointed and though not sick the stomach was unhappy. Should have gone to Clintonville. Send Halp!
