I would give this place a 4.5. I am taking off .5 for the rice. I was not a huge fan. It’s not nasty, just not used to that brand. The food was fresh and hot.

Food was not well done I had to recook my food once I got home. Also what I ordered I did not get. I received Romain noodles I could have cooked at home. Would not recommend this place.

Came here yesterday to order the hibachi chicken & shrimp with rice. The rice will choke you if you don’t add sauce or soy sauce. I had to add 5 packs of soy sauce to give the rice flavor & moisture. I had 5 shrimps, crumbs of chicken & more onions than meat. They are very skimpy with the food for the price & is definitely not worth it. You’re better off going somewhere instead of paying for food that’s portioned for kids.

It was pretty bad. I don’t expect much from a quick takeout place, but this was way below average. I had chicken and shrimp hibachi and it was sooo dry. I almost don’t think it was freshly made because I don’t know how you could dry it out that bad in the 15 mins it took for me to pick it up. On top of that is was bland and there wasn’t a lot of shrimp or chicken in the order it was way heavy on veggies. I would try any other place first.

This is one of me and my wife’s favorite japanese places in Garner. The food is outstanding and the white sauce is to die for! This is a perfect place to go when you’re shopping at white oak. I recommend calling 10 minutes before and your food will be right and ready for you.

Food is good but it’s a little pricey for the amount you get. They’re also extremely stingy with the white sauce.

I will never order from here again. I ordered chicken and shrimp hibachi. The plate was filled with mostly vegetables!!! Oversized carrots and onions. I did not order a veggie tray, however that’s mainly what I received, but paid for shrimp and chicken. I’m very disappointed!

No morals, ethics, or equal treatment for customers. I have never had an issue with this establishment until this evening, and I have been a repeat customer for years – but NO MORE. My takeout order of steak soba was given to the dine- in customers (group of 4 young men) in front of me that ordered hibachi chicken. The young man opened the container, discussed the contents with his friend, closed the container, and returned it to the counter. The gentleman behind the counter gives him the correct order and proceeds to place the RETURNED container in a bag that he was going to give to me until I called him on it. His response is, “well you’ll have to wait.” I wait at the counter to make sure the order is cooked and that I’m not passed the returned container. While the food is being cooked, the cook and the guy that made the error are mumbling to each other, giggling, and then a note is passed to the female cashier from the guy that made the error. Now, there is a sign posted in front of the register that says 2 white sauces with each entrée and extra sauce is $0.35 each. One of the 4 young men return to the counter and says, “can I have 2 MORE white sauce?” 2 white sauces are given at no charge. Seeing all of this, I decide to cancel my order. There is some pushback but the order is canceled. I also ordered sushi, and while giving me the bag, I ask for 2 white sauces. The female responds that sushi doesn’t come with white sauce. Well now it’s about the principle of it for me. So I make the argument of what I just witnessed with the young man’s request and I’m told they ordered a lot of food. Seriously – each one of them had one entrée of hibachi chicken. I had one entrée and 2 orders of sushi (approx $27). Now I really liked this place, but tonight I was shown there are no morals, ethics, and equal treatment for customers. Due to their error, they could have and should have apologized for the inconvenience of having me wait, offered me a drink or one of the sushi at no charge, given me the white sauce, or even told me that I would have to pay for the sauce. None of this happened; but you were willing to let me walk out the door with food that had been handled and returned. For that alone, the sanitation grade should be changed.

Place is clean, nice, and welcoming, but the noodles taste like they add honey to it and the sushi doesn’t taste right.
