My toddler has never been charged to eat at a buffet. We’ve gone to dozens over the years and have never once been charged for his plate. We never make him a plate, rather we typically will give him a piece of bread or a spoon of rice and split our dessert with him. Today of all days he decides he wants to try the chicken so we put the chicken on our plate, then got a spare plate and cut the 3 little pieces we gave him on it. I also put his piece of bread, a tablespoon of rice and a piece of potato on the plate. Just ate the chicken. The server only came to our table twice in the 30+ minutes we were there – once to drop off bread then a second time to tell us that if we come back again and put my kids food on a separate plate we’ll be charged the champagne buffet price for my kids meal. Neither of us even took the champagne our buffet meal came with, we opted for water. The server never asked how the food was, never checked in, never asked if we wanted more bread or water, and waited until the end to clear the plates once they were piled up. Spent the whole time on his phone. He was rude, so when I paid the bill and left NO TIP because the service was TERRIBLE (and made sure to write that so he was aware since he scattered like an ant once I asked for the check)he followed me out to our car and tried to argue with me about it. So unprofessional. I explained and he was so defensive, so I told him have a great day, got in the car and left. In this economy there are SO MANY better tasting buffets to go to. Which was clearly where everyone else seemed to be – place was practically empty the whole time we were eating! Definitely skip.
The food was delicious! Even without being an expert in Indian cuisine, it was clear that the flavors were spot on. The unique spices used in the dishes really added to the experience.
Overall, it was a great experience. New India’s Oven should definitely be visited by anyone looking for a tasty and authentic Indian meal, with friendly owners to make them feel at home.
Tandoori chicken was outstanding! The pakoras and samosas…very good and all the dishes came out fast and hot!
Every dish was delicious and we highly recommend:)
If you’re unfamiliar with Indian food, you’ll want to get a dish, add naan bread, and add rice and you’ll have a very filling meal at a reasonable price.
The Vegetable Korma is particularly delicious! I also recommend the garlic naan as well.
We have yet to try the buffet, but the dinners have been delightful!
Very authentic.
I will come again recommend
Would not recommend it to anyone.
