A wonderful friendly family run restaurant with authentic home cooked dishes. My wife and I celebrated our 32nd anniversary with Akash, Viki and the family and had a memorable evening….and a slice of Akashs’ birthday cake sat with the family on the terrace. We’ve dined there many times now and will always return for the friendly welcome, great selection of bottled beers and authentic Indian cuisine.

A hidden gem in the countryside. We luckily came across New India Gate restaurant while holidaying in the area. From the warm welcome from Ricki,the speed of service & extremely good food. We would highly recommend this restaurant!

Akash was really lovely, providing top notch – one of the best services I’ve received. I had the chicken tikka masala and my aunt had the achri chicken.. both meals were to die for. The kushwari naan, meat & vegetable samosas we had as a starter were flavourful & hot – everything you’d expect from an excellent starter. 5 stars from me, would definitely come again.

Was looking forward to our takeaway yesterday as heard good reviews, However when the food turned up, Nan bread was basically still dough, korma had only 3 bits of chicken in it and the mixed grill all tasted the same even through there was a variety of different meats! We left most of our meal and spent over €60 was very disappointed

We have just had dinner here and it was, as cliche as this sounds, sensational. The Butter Paneer was a truly unexpected highlight of our meal. Service was great and very friendly staff. Will definitely be back again even though it’s quite a drive from where we live. Thank you for an amazing meal.

One of the worst Indian meals I’ve ever had. My succulent lamb ( as described in the menu ) was tough, it was more like mutton than lamb, I was still tasting the sauce two days later. The quarter chicken tikka turned out to be three drumsticks again on the tough side. Won’t be going back.

Excellent food and good service. The atmosphere is as you would expect in an Indian restaurant which is perfectly fine but limited when considering keeping kids entertained. There was 9 of us out for our meal, and the food was all excellent and the service was great.
Definitely worth a visit if you are thinking of having Indian food in the area.
Parking is available however it is somewhat limited in spaces however due to the volume of take away you can get a space due to turnover of the spaces.
