My family usually has dinners at New Hong Kong Wok all the time, but we stopped coming here after their food and service went downhill a few years ago. This is my first time returning to New Hong Kong Wok after many years. I found out that both their food quality and customer service have improved. I enjoyed my dinner here once again! I know I’ll come back more often now.

I had high hopes for the Salty Chicken Steam at Hong Kong Wok Restaurant, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to my expectations. The chicken itself was tender, but the flavor was overly salty, bordering on unpleasant.
I was also hoping for more complexity in the seasoning, but it fell flat. The service was decent, and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere, but the dish itself was underwhelming.
I might return to try other items on their menu, but I’ll steer clear of the salty chicken steam next time.

Our family of 15 dined in to celebrate a birthday. The staff was really nice and attentive. They even swapped out our dirty plates for fresh ones mid-meal. Awesome!
We ordered 2 $198 family meals, and it was plenty filling. Tons of seafood and everyone left happy and satisfied. My favorite dishes were the yang Chau fried rice and the walnut shrimp. The deep fried crab and lobster was tasty, but a little too battered for my liking. I still ate it all 🙂

The food is ok with very traditional Hong Kong styles menu but the food is fill with MSG. I have to drink so much water after the meal.
What they really need to IMPROVE on is their customer service skills. Waiting staff both male and female are super RUDE and disrespectful to costumers. And don’t even try to ask for extra chopsticks, you’ll get the most ugliest look from the waiters.

My family goes here to celebrate big occasions. It’s one of our favorite Cantonese restaurant in Sacramento and no other place have yet to beat it.

Lived in sac my whole life. This is 25 min from my house and my new go to for Chinese.
Honey walnut prawns were amazing.
The lunch Kung pao chicken portion was generous and flavorful. Lots of veggies.
Everyone is always saying how their Chinese food place is the best. OR better. I never recommend Chinese food because of it.
Eat here. Be happy. Don’t settle for mediocre.

Delicious and authentic food. Stopped by here since I was nearby and absolutely loved their food. I had their black bean chicken and greens with garlic and look forward to trying out more of the extensive menu when I’m in town again.
