I went to New Hoa Dang Vegetarian Restaurant today with my mom, and unfortunately she ended up with food poisoning after eating there. That alone is serious and concerning.
We ordered the fried mushrooms, which were actually the best dish we had it was crispy and flavorful is even why they are worthy of this one star. The Bun Cha Hanoi was edible, though nothing special. But the Mi Quang was honestly the worst dish of the entire meal. As someone who loves Vietnamese food and especially Mi Quang being one of my top favorite dishes, this was extremely disappointing. The noodles were mushy, the bowl was filled with broth like a soup (which anyone who knows Mi Quang understands it is not supposed to be), and to top it off, it was completely bland.
What made the experience worse was the response. I politely let them know, simply so they could improve. They didn’t acknowledge it at all. The server was also rude, which added to the frustration.
Overall, it was a no from me. Between the food quality, the lack of accountability, and the service, I would genuinely say: eat at your own risk.
They offer a lot of unique Viet dishes not commonly found at other restaurants, veggie or not. The menu doesn’t explicitly mark whether something is or isn’t vegan, but nearly all of the items are and you can ask to make sure.
We ordered their Spring Rolls, Salted Fish Fried Rice, Chinese Spinach, and Lemongrass Fish (which also came with rice).
The rolls were a fantastic start and came with a savory dipping sauce. The fried rice was bomb and definitely a staple at any Viet restaurant. I also really liked the fish even though the side rice felt like overkill, but we definitely took it home afterwards to avoid waste.
So not only was everything great but the service was pretty quick and the majority Viet families dining here really shows its stamp of approval by the community it serves.
Parking is the only headache here as the Asian lot is busy and packed especially during lunch. I ended up parking on the street outside since it was a nightmare hunting for a spot.
Their Popular items on the menu includes: Rice Noodles, Veggie Pork Spring Rolls, Can Bun, Bun Bo Hue, Minced Crab Soup, Pad Thai, Shaken Beef, Veggie Soups, and many more!
So many of my favorites here!!! Absolutely love the Interior Decorations and the Welcoming Catchy Beautiful Atmospheres!!! Definitely Recommend and will Surely be coming back to try other dishes on the Menu!
Came back here April23, 20025 with my friends for a birthday celebration and we absolutely love it!!! Hu Tieu Mi Kho and Bun dau mam Tom was very tasty and flavorful. This Restaurant is definitely one of my favorites Vegetarian spot for sure!!!! Great Indoor and outdoor Seatings!
I like the texture of crispy and chewy of the fake meats.
I can’t recommend any dishes because I leave that to my Vietnamese friend.
The restaurant is clean, no A/C, and has friendly staff. Parking can be difficult. Come early or on a weekday.
Target is across the Street
Quang Nam’s style noodle soup. Big flat egg noodles with tons of different things. I liked it.
Crispy chow mein with veggies. This was yummy.
Stir fried string beans with beef was also very good.
