I genuinely miss this spot whenever I can’t get to it for a while. And every time I come back, it’s as good as it’s always been. Shrimp egg foo young is out of this world!! Shrimp and broccoli as well! General Tso’s, fried dumplings, noodles, boneless ribs, fried chicken, beef or chicken skewers, soups, egg rolls…it’s all so delicious and fresh. Rice is always fluffy. The sauces are silky and well seasoned and they never skimp on ingredients. This is not one of those places where they’ll short you on proteins. Lastly, I cannot say enough good things about how friendly the service is. If you call in or stop by with any amount of regularity, even if it’s a couple times a month, they will remember you and the food you like to order. I asked for fortune cookies a couple times with my orders because I like keeping the fortunes I collect in a glass cookie jar, and now every single time I stop in, the woman at the front, Vicky, puts a handful of them in my bag without me even having to ask. Ordered take out the chicken dishes were way over breaded.sauces were nice but I’m not use to a half inch of bread on the chicken dish and very tough cuts of chicken. Not good

New Ho Won is my go-to chinos spot. They have the BEST general tso’s chicken ever!! Unlike other Chinese spots, theirs actually has a kick! Their wonton in garlic sauce is also delicious! The girls answering the phone are friendly.

Dumont has at least 5 Chinese restaurants but this one is the best. It’s take out only but the food tastes as good as the better Chinese Restaurants in NYC. I usually get the Curry Beef lunch special with pork fried rice and won-ton soup. It is out of this world. They give you a nice assortment of Chines vegetables and the curry sauce is hot and spicy, just the way I like it.

Horrible customer service. Messed up my order one time and every time I called, made it seem as if I ALWAYS had an issue with my orders. Threaten never to take our order again if another issue arises. Do your self a favor and teach your staff how to speak to a customer properly, that’s bringing you business to your establishment. Will never order from this place again. Super rude and unprofessional. Zero stars.

I tried the eggplant in garlic sauce lunch special. It was delicious and the eggplant was very fresh. The portions were generous and the price was only $6 and change. The service was great and the kitchen looked very clean and spacious. I was really surprised to see that they have a big menu of Italian food as well as burgers, steak and seafood. But I haven’t tried any of that so I cannot comment.

This is the best Chinese food anywhere in the area. Everything is freshly cooked and taste delicious. The people who run the place are kind and nice. They remember my order and even remember I have allergies to food. I have ordered from here at least twenty times if not more and have never been disappointed. Excellent!

Horrendously unprofessional. Ordered 3 “sesame” chicken combos. Received 3 “General Tsao” chicken combos. No big deal, we will try it. Incredibly spicy to first taste, my two kids can’t eat it. I called to let them know the order was incorrect and to was trying to be nice and ask to credit just 2 of the combos. Owner began to actually yell at me that this is the 3rd time we’ve called to complain….yes, because it’s the 3rd time the order was obviously incorrect. She refused to credit the error and actually said that she would send a new order and they would take back the wrong order (an order we opened, attempted to eat…<- gross) all this after she yelled at me. No thank you. We clearly should not continue to support a business if they speak to their customers in that manner especially if they made the order wrong, multiple times. We could have dropped this place after the first time, but we gave the benefit of the doubt....well it’s obvious we will never order from this place again.
