I was expecting more. When in the area, we had on occasion stopped at Somebody’s as their atmosphere and food were wonderful. They are now gone and we decided to stop in and try New Haven Grille & Levee Bar. I am sorry to say the food was disappointing. My burger was good, but the giant onion ring made it difficult to eat. His beef sandwich was not good. The roast beef was totally mushy (my guess was it was frozen and thawed) and the au jus was way too salty. He would have chosen a plain cheeseburger, but there was none on the menu. The fries with both sandwiches were just OK. I guess we were hoping it was as good as the previous bar/restaurant. Change is not always better 🙁
