We had the Saturday buffet for $11.75.
Most buffet restaurants fill large pans that become almost inedible before they run low enough to refill. The staff at Golden Palace puts out small portions that are always fresh. My faith in Chinese buffet has been restored!

Small place with a decent selection of food. They considerate on the main dishes. The only thing I didn’t care for was the bacon shrimp. The bacon could have been cooked a bit more for my taste. Other people like it just the way it was so really it’s hard to say bad about it. Everything else was perfectly cooked.

This was my go to place until, I placed an order for pick up and was told that I was on their list to not prepare food until I get there to pay. I have NEVER ordered food and not picked it up. My money is always in my hand when I come through the door. However, I did order one time and my order was incorrect and yes I did let them know and no I was rude about it. Second, do not waste my time to take my order then have me drive to your business to tell me that you didn’t make my food because, you have me on this list that I should not be on. Tell me over the phone but, I guess you thought that I would still want it once I get there. Then to have a kid tell me then, ask me if I still want the food. Absolutely not with my money and not ever again. I need to send you a bill for wasting my time.

This is a typical Chinese buffet with only 2 tables of main options, and one table with cold/dessert/sushi options. It is sufficient and the food was prepared acceptably. We were there a little early before dinner, so maybe they weren’t quite stocked up for the dinner rush. Nothing was a stand out dish – good or bad. It is an acceptable option if you want a buffet dinner in Farmville, VA.

What a nasty place! Rude employees and disgusting food! Look at the brown rice wraps on the sushi they are supposed to be bright green-black! Loose watered-down hot mustard! Wasabi was watered down and looked like pistachio ice cream. Also requested fresh wasabi as well as packets of hot mustard and didn’t give us either. Rude service talking in a foreign language about us paying for lunch at 26$ what a rip-off! Be warned.

Enjoyed the dinner buffet on a Saturday night. Fresh delicious food and so much variety. Super pleasant and attentive server. Everything was clean and nice. I was surprised the restaurant wasn’t full of diners but we were there a little early. There were many people picking up “to go” orders. (Whenever I get “to go” from here, it’s always fresh, hot, and delicious.)

Not a bad place to eat, the food is pretty good. The only draw back is the menu is always the same on the bar. If they change it up once a month it would be even better.
