MUCH better now that it’s under new ownership and management. The last owners drove my away from this place and previously the food wasn’t really that good, now however the food is decent at least and staff is friendly. They do however tend to over charge you…. for example I went down to the location and picked up my food, yet they still charge a convenience fee? For what?

I live in the neighborhood and have been getting food from here over 20 years. I used to love the food from here but since it’s the “New” Golden Dragon Restaurant the food was very disappointing. The Crab Rangoon filling tastes sweet ..too sweet. The steak teriyaki was tough, dry and flavorless. Requested 1 small container hot sauce which I didn’t receive. I won’t be ordering from here anymore.

This “new” place is lacking seriously! Always came here for decades, always good. Peking ravioli…disgusting!! Ordered Sweet and sour chicken, chicken fingers, and egg rolls along with the Peking ravioli…never coming here again.

My family likes the crab rangoons, lo mein, and beef teriyaki from here. The lo mein is a little bit smoky in just the right way and you don’t feel the usual sluggish-ness that other lo meins give you after you’re done eating which is a plus!

I had to pick a star to write a review. I am pretty sure they forgot to put the taste back into their food after the pandemic. I have never had such awful Chinese food in my life. Spring rolls just had dough and cabbage. The beef teriyaki was stringy and had a weird texture. To top it all off, I saw the cook scoop rice into a container then take some out with his bare hands.

I must say now that I only gave a 1 star rating because I had to in order to write this review. The food here is an atrocity to your mouth. I would like for the person who cooked the orange chicken and fried chicken to cook themselves what they cooked for my family eat it and tell me that it was good. You must reevaluate your cooking and seasoning methods. Close the restaurant again and improve your cooking skills for the love of all that is holy in food. Then open back up.

The old Dragon Island was the best Chinese food. I do not recommend this New Dragon Island. I ordered sweet n sour chicken with white rice, beef teriyaki and boneless ribs. All of which was awful in my opinion. The sweet n sour chicken were the smallest pieces of chicken bites that was really just batter not even a bite of chicken. The beef teriyaki was a very tough thick cut of “beef” covered in a red sauce. The boneless ribs were cut to these little slivers of “meat“ and all mostly fatty no meat. I was excited when I saw the restaurant opened back up but it clearly isn’t the same quality, I will unfortunately not be back.
