I knew my gut instinct was correct. For some reason I did not trust this place was actually going to give me these pastries filled with what I ordered (crab and cheese). As you can see in the picture, it was a huge let down as there was next to nothing inside of these. I did not take the meat out before taking these pictures; this is exactly how they came and that is nothing short of unacceptable. Just completely cheap and not what I ordered. If I wanted plain doe I could go to papa Johns and get that quality for half the price. Thankfully, my sweet and sour chicken was not too bad. The sauce was pretty bland and acidic which is why I found it tasted better without the sauce. Overall bad experience and I would not go back. Not a terrible job on the fried chicken, but nothing special. Hopefully I can get some kind of refund through Uber eats.

Ordered half chicken with fried rice. The chicken was old and oily. It also seemed that they put left over chicken (random old and dry pieces). The rice was not fresh.

She was yelling in Chinese at her husband so loud maybe because I asked some mustard sauce and there was no sauce arranged to pick up? Her little kid is the only one cooking in the kitchen while I was there. Is this actually ok to a young kid working there? She wasn’t even tall enough, she stood over the big wooden box in order to handle the wok. I don’t go to this place any often like before. The owner has some issues with her nasty attitude.

For those who are reading these reviews and are referring to the awful customer service on the phone…just order online through their website. So much easier. The food is definitely decent. Orders definitely arrive on time. I’d personally recommend the Pork Fried Rice/Lo Mein combination. The boneless spare ribs are actually pretty good as well. The food may be a bit overpriced, but overall New Golden City gets a passing grade.

Chinese take out is a comfort food for me and this place gives what needs to be given. All the times I’ve ordered food from here for pick up or delivery, they’ve always been consitently good. They always give a lot too.

This place has terrible customer service , the owner has a young teen (with a horrible attitude problem) taking orders/picking up the phone. Every time I call to make an order for delivery I have to deal with the kid and her nasty attitude and lack of basic manners. Not only that but they take forever to make the delivery and they don’t care to help you with what you want. Even the owner or at least whoever the lady is that comes to the phone every time the kid dismisses me – she is pretty rude herself. Honestly not worth it.
