I honestly love this place! I remember first time I came here there was a bit more stay so less of a wait. Tonight, I came with my 3 daughters and husband. They were very accommodating of my girls and upon getting there they offered a high chair for my youngest child. I got the spicy seafood ramen (I took the picture after having a few bites, oops) and my husband also had ramen but I forgot the name of it. We were both very impressed by the portion sizes! I can usually finish my ramen, but i was so full halfway through. My husband ended up finishing his, but he was full as well! My oldest loved the plain ramen with noodles they made for our girls. This was one of the only times I have seen her finish the bowl along with the brother, and ask for more! Not a lot else for keiki, but again, they were accommodating and we asked for 2 small bowls which helped us allow the youngest girls to try ramen. Now, I give 5 stars because the food was great, and even being short staffed the service was good too. I will forewarn that if you are in a rush, this place would probably not be good for you. I only say this because we saw one guy working register, taking orders, rending tables, and making the takeout. Then there was the one cook in the back. They are a great team, because I was being nosy and saw the huge order they made, while they still had our ramen out in a decent time. However, this did cause a little bit of a delay in the beginning. Once things slowed down, they had a good rhythm, and we were very well taken care of. I dont want to assume this establishment is family owned, but it could be with how short staffed they are. Anyways, if you want lots of noodles, and enjoy a cute hole in the wall, then I highly recommend! Make sure you check wait times if you’re in a rush, and ask for little bowls for your keiki if they’re tagging along. 🙂

First time here and we did not have a good experience. BE AWARE AND REMEMBER TO CHECK YOUR RECEIPT. They charge you a “service charge” without telling you. So you might tip on top. If you plan on eating together, this is not the place. They send out the order as it’s made. The first order came in 5-10 minutes and our fifth order was 20-25 minutes. The service was decent, but they also missed an order. All the ramen were decent, the exception was the tonkotsu it tastes no where near what it’s supposed to be and it was also the only bowl that came out at room temperature. For those looking for “authentic” Japanese ramen, I believe this place is Chinese owned.

First time in my life that I ordered something and not eat it. My mapo tofu barely had tofu in it, and the ramen is bland and soggy. Don’t think I’ll ever come back to this rubbish place again.

Decided to explore something new in the area and stumbled upon this excellent establishment. Visited post-lunch hours, so it wasn’t overly crowded. A down-to-earth restaurant offering delightful katsu curries and ramen. The food arrived surprisingly quickly. We tried the spam, chicken, and shrimp katsu curries, all delicious, though the crunch was a bit hard. The combo sets are a great choice; we went for Combo A. The fried rice and mini ramen were spot on. If you crave ramen or curry, this spot is a must-try.

First off let me say the customer service is the top experience I have had in a very long time! Amazing food! Char siu is so soft and not overly fatty. Prices are amazing as well. Definitely going back when on this side of the island

I do enjoy coming here from time to time. The prices are reasonable and the food is good. I don’t like that they give the food as it comes out. I would prefer to get all the food one time. For example my daughter got her food first and a few minutes later my husband got his after, then myself and lastly my son. Between when my daughter got her food to my son who was last, it was probably a good 10-15 minutes. Our gyoza also did not come until after all the food came and my husband had to ask for the other order so by the time it came we had pretty much eaten all the other food already. Overall the staff was friendly and refilled our waters in a timely manner. If you’re looking for something on the cheaper side at the town center with decent food I would recommend this place.

If you’re looking for authentic Japanese ramen, you’ll be disappointed. It’s Chinese fused food. It was ok.

First time at New Genki Ramen…unfortunately, less than impressed. The food was okay, but the service was well below average. The hostess and waitress both spoke so softly that they were basically inaudible and the fact that they wore masks over their face made it impossible for me to understand them. As someone with a hearing disability and a need to see someone’s mouth to read their lips, I was stunned when the waitress refused to remove her mask when I told her I could not hear her. My wife said she thought the waitress laughed based what she could see in her facial expression. A clear disappointment, as the other reviews we had read, indicated this was a good place to eat, but I felt belittled because of my disability.

Terrible customer service, don’t go here. The server made a rude comment but it’s not like my review is gonna do anything, judging from their old reviews on poor service, looks like they did nothing at all to improve. Whenever I go out to buy food, I try to be a good customer, I say thank you after making a transaction and receiving my food, but I was not given the same respect and kindness. I’m extremely disappointed I wasted money on poor service and subpar food, I’d get my money back through my bank if I could.
