The servers kept making people wait for their foods for take out, and even the people dining in, they had to wait when there were plenty of tables. They’re just not together. They need to be better prepared for customer service. Their lunch special is good; combo is about $27/per person. Foods are mediocre at best. Their black bean noodle called Jja Jjiang myun is very popular here, along with spicy fried shrimp (not spicy imo). Tastes like sweet and sour shrimps to me. When you have take out, make sure to check everything inside your bag before leaving!! And ask for extra kimchi if you like it.

The noodles are perfectly cooked with just the right chew, and the black bean sauce is rich, savory, and well-balanced. The food here is so good and so fresh. I also really appreciate that it’s not overly salty so you don’t feel terrible afterwards.
They also have live plants and animals which is a great touch for decor.
The owner and workers are all so nice and accommodating.
I’m really impressed with their party services. I had my baby’s first birthday party here and it was worth every penny. SO MUCH FOOD!!

I’ve come to this restaurant for over 20+ years. It was always a go to Chinese-Korean place. Recently the ownership changed and they remodeled but I was scared the food might taste different. Thank God the food still tastes delicious!
Now with better service and cleaner atmosphere, we still come here often!

An update:
We order to-go at least twice a month here, and I’ve been noticing the food quality changes whenever they are busy. Today I ordered a to-go of jjajangmyun plate. I understand the fact that it was busy due to the holiday, but the noodles were way overcooked and soggy.. the beef was way too hard.. please… be consistent..
Although I wanted to give one star for today’s food, I’m keeping a 3 star for the good experience I had previously. I will post another update in the near future hoping for better experience.

I’ve had the same types of dishes (jajjangmyun, tangsuyuk, mapo tofu) at many other chinese/korean places and new garden’s take on these dishes is super flavorful and distinct. I heard this place is under new management and a new menu, and I have to say the service and staff was awesome and the food was delicious. Will definitely be back.

We had a group of 11 people dining here today, and it was everyone’s first time visiting this restaurant. From the portion sizes to the flavors, every dish received unanimous praise.
A special shoutout to Roger, our server, who was incredibly attentive and fun. He noticed every detail, kept refilling our water glasses, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. Even though we stayed and chatted for quite a while, he remained friendly and thoughtful the entire time. It’s rare to experience such excellent service in a Chinese restaurant!
The chef also did a fantastic job—every dish was delicious and beautifully prepared.

We went here for a celebration party and had a 12 course banquet. The food portions were generous and we had a nice variety of food. The atmosphere was okay but the restaurant could use a deep cleaning and some updating. The lazy Susan was sticky and definitely needed to be cleaned or replaced. When the server was dishing out the soup, he spilled a lot of it on the lazy Susan and didn’t bother cleaning up liquid so the dishes that came out were sitting on top of the soup liquid. I liked the noodles, black bean fish, orange chicken, beef dish, broccoli, Mabo tofu and the bread. The pork dish was okay but I wasn’t that fond of the sauce. For dessert they served orange slices and caramelized sweet potato which was very tasty. We had soup, rice, noodles, chicken, fish, pork, broccoli, Kim chi, green beans, beef dish, scallops with asparagus, Mabo tofu and Chinese bun and dessert. It was a ton of food and there was lots left over at our table. It was a nice and fun celebration.

I rarely leave negative reviews because, as a business owner myself, I understand that mistakes can happen in a fast-paced environment. However, my experience today was beyond frustrating due to a complete lack of professionalism. First, I was overcharged for my order, and I had to go through the hassle of voiding the payment and re-charging the correct amount. To make matters worse, after getting back to my office, I realized this was the third time my to-go order was missing chopsticks and napkins. I specifically ordered an extra side of soup, but when I called to report that no spoon was provided, the staff dismissively told me they “don’t usually provide spoons” and even had the nerve to ask me why the chopsticks were missing, as if that were my responsibility to know. It is baffling to think a restaurant expects a customer to eat soup without a spoon, especially when it was a paid add-on. While I could manage at home, it is impossible to eat a to-go lunch at an office without chopsticks or a spoon. I have been a loyal regular here for a long time, but the consistent lack of attention to detail and the rude, unapologetic attitude make it impossible for me to return.

I entered you establishment today 12/08/25 to order a meal to go, because I was in the area. I was not greeted, acknowledge or even informed by your staff I will be right with you. Several people behind me were seated and she sent someone out (male cook I pursume) to assist and when I asked him about this atrocious treatment he seems uninterested, then I asked if your establishment served Egg Foo Yung and again he seem uninterested and said he didn’t know what that was. I left without ordering. I will however let everyone know that if you are African American you should choose a Restaurant without racial bias.
