The chicken paprikash was delicious, as were the other dishes we tried. It was a terrific place to gather with my Serbian family.

They denied me entrance because of my service animal. (The reason being I didn’t have his vest on, and customers will complain). Legally, my dog does not have to wear a vest and if you’re more worried about customers complaining then being accommodating to people with service animals then I don’t want to support your business.

I was in town for work and this place was recommended, so we (3 colleagues and I) went for dinner. The meals were just okay, but the desserts were exceptional, especially the strudel. We wound up getting more strudel for carryout the next day.

I have good memories of this place and the food is good but the prices seem to have gone up, especially the kids meals. There was not much business in there tonight, hope that isn’t always the case? Seemed different and I can’t put my finger on it, server was very good.

Fish was over cooked for 15.99, chicken paprikash was bland and the sauce was like water. There home made cheese cake tasted like jello no bake cheese cake. The waitress was wonderful and the place was nice with a homey feel. But the food was not worth it

I use to come here way back in the 70’s with my Dad and Mom. Been here a couple of times since. But the food is real good and nothing I had was fried. Real home-cooked meal. Waitress was great

Our group had a good time but pretty much everyone gave the food a 3 out of 10. I had the meatball sub and couldn’t pick it up, the roll was so mushy but very chew like it had been microwaved. The home fries were done but oily and not browned at all. It was our 1st time visiting and most definitely our last.

This restaurant has been a “must eat” establishment in Akron for almost 100 years. It is still family owned and operated. I’ve had a great experience every time I’ve been here. I had forgot about this place but I’ve recently rediscovered it. Known for as a Croation/Serbian restaurant that also offers plenty of standard American dishes and specials. The chicken paparikash is really good and the dumplings really help make the dish. The portions are large and seem to be even bigger when you take out. My girlfriend ordered the Grilled Pleskavica spicy…grilled sausage type of dish…it tasted good but was not her favorite dish. The desserts are sooo good. I’ve had the strudel and they are delicious. The custard cake is worth driving out of your way for.

The food was terrific. It was just as good as leftovers. Large portions. The apple streudel was a little mucky, but had good flavor. Unhappy with credit card surcharge. I paid cash. I think this should just be rolled into the cost.

Great service. Tried the spinach & feta Burek. Too much crust & not enough spinach & feta. Next time swiss steak.
