Excellent service, food are great, you guys have to try their chocolate corruption and chocolate PB cheesecake desserts… but beware you guys might enjoy too much their meal its hard to make room for dessert. Unless you make it to go LOL like what we did
We ordered calamari for appetizer, classic burgers both well done with fries on the side and the other was salad and chicken tenders and fries for kids meal.
Everything tasted fresh especially the salad and the burger was tasting fresh and juicy i just felt it was seasoned very well it doesnt need any condiments at all . Definitely will be back and somewhere i will take guests to.
Fyi: I also love that they make sure they clean regularly as when we left the staff were moving frames and wiping corners of wall edges especially by the customers table area. Great to see that when you actually go to a diner

Alone arrival, I wasn’t offered whether I was dining in or takeout. It was assumed that I was taking my food to go. I ordered a medium rare burger and was given a well done burger. I wasn’t told about the 12% gratuity that was added to the bill regardless of if it’s to go, in dining, credit card or cash. The cashier assumed that didn’t want my change for my order. The gentleman that seemed to be in charge, he never introduced himself or his title to me was courtesy. The cafe is quaint. I am making an assumption that this is a one off, since this is the first time coming here.

Arrived twelve minutes before closing and just wanted two slices of coconut cake but they refused because they closed early. Now, it was already made cake, not hot food. We had eaten there earlier in the day, and decided we wanted some of the cake I had voted for repeatedly as being the best coconut cake in town on FB-for out of town guests who love coconut cake and twere leaving in the morning. Wonderful food and laid-back atmosphere. Great sandwiches, pizza, salads, and soups. The cakes are made fresh in house. Also their tea is amazing. The staff are happy and helpful. They have a standard menu as well as chef specials so there’s always something new to try!

The food was scrummy! Mildred and New Deal are conjoint twin restaurants. This one tries for a hip yuppy vibe but could be cleaner – Mildred is table cloth, napkins and seniors. If seniors with oxygen tubes eat there, I will trust the safety of their food. A couple of different vegetarian options at New Deal but not so much at Mildred. The waitress also told us later that they could make many Of Mildred ‘s vegetarian. The pumpkin cheesecake was amazing, better than cheesecake factory. The coconut pineapple cake was okay. 8$ a slice for canned pineapples and not a layer of pineapple jam? Mch mch mch.

The food was excellent! We had Calamari as a starter, which was perfectly fried and tasted fresh. Waiters were very attentive and boxed up our leftovers for us. One member of our party had the quiche, this person eats quiche at any restaurant that has it and she said it’s the best in Gainesville. Very light and fluffy and cheesy. The lunch menu is very reasonably priced and most things come with the option of a salad or french fries at no extra cost.

While on a family road trip, we wanted to find somewhere delicious, local, and good for small children. There was so many great options and we highly recommend the classic burger, pimento cheese sandwich and the calamari.
