We are a restaurant, hangout, and music venue- all in one! We have live music most every night of the week except when we have popular events such as Open Mic, Pub Quiz, and Karaoke. Starting in January our new food vendor will expand the menu to full- breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night. We have coffee/espresso, Wi-Fi, sofas, a patio, a super friendly staff, and high-quality music all the time. Check out the event schedule on our website.

Really enjoyed the food here. Lots of vegetarian options. Food prices are good. Most dishes were well seasoned and flavorful. They do have many 3rd party vendors. Did find a hair in my banana pudding but that was from a 3rd party so I will not penalized the restaurant. Will come back but avoid the dessert. Staff is so nice and attentive.

I am happy we got to head to this delicious place! I have been a handful of times but hadn’t really had the chance to sit and enjoy the space or the live music! It was great. This place has my fave TOP 3 pasta and it’s my go-to whenever I’m in the area now.
I love how authentic the people, music, crowd, and ambiance is. Old school Greenbelt is really comforting, hippieville, and lots of nostalgia that anyone can get to love. Nothing beats that!

Loved visiting for the live music with Low Rent Quartet!! The band is amazing!! They should be there much more often, not just once a month. Awesome venue! Great atmosphere!

My wife and I both had pasta. Salmon and Chicken versions. Both very good and seemed freshly cooked.
My chicken seemed to me to be a nice mild Cajun style with sun dried tomato. Chicken may have been marinated? Not hot or spicy. Recommended.

Food was surprisingly very good! I had the grilled avocado halves filled with Pico de gallo, sweet corn and sauteed fresh lump crab. You get really nice sized portions and the food was even plated very nicely! Just LOOKING at the food you’d think you were in a more upscale place. Put the environment was a true let down. I could get past the 2nd hand furniture. But the SMELL of the place! It smelled old, stale and dank! The service: well I’ll just say, don’t look to get service with a smile. You’re not going to get the warm and fuzziest here!

Ordered a standard latte and was served essentially just milk and ice. I don’t know if the barista just didn’t put the espresso in my cup or they only give you one shot for 16oz of milk, but my latte had no coffee flavor at all.

Looking for a great time; check out the New Deal Cafe. I always love to attend when Soulfied Village performs. The band is great, the vibe is electrifying and the crowd is always ready to party.
The menu has varied over the years. It has nice choices for those looking for vegan options. I was happy to see there are some meat and fish options available again. I had the chicken tenders and traditional mac and cheese. Both had a good taste, but seemed a little over cooked. It was nice they keep a container of cold water on the bar. This is my happy place at least once a year.
It is best to reserve a table in advance especially if you don’t want to stand the entire time. The place fills up quickly all the times I’ve been there.
