Food was delicious (a bit too salty for me), portion was generous, price was fair, service was good, & atmosphere was ok. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Appreciate the authentic Chinese menu. We ordered 4 dishes, except the bean curd with baby bok choy, 3 came in clay pots (fish fillet with fermented vegetables, chicken with chestnut & seafood casserole), which we really appreciate. Street parking.

I love Chinese food and this was so disappointing. First Paying $50 for food was insanely overpriced, but I gave it the chance since some of the reviews, etc. But when I tell you the flavor was so bad, I spit the sesame chicken out. It smelled so old. The Lomein was horrible as well as the fried dumplings. Everything lacked flavor and just tasted old. Egg rolls tasted like dough. Overall don’t spend your money. You will regret it. I wish I could get a refund.

A spacious and cozy restaurant with an upper level when it’s busy. The menu is in both Chinese and English and they have chopsticks and forks and knives for convenience. The service is fast and the waiters are nice. The food is fresh, delicious, and authentic. The decor makes the restaurant welcoming. It might not have parking spaces nearby. I recommend the Tomato Egg Soup to start off. There is a well cleaned and thoroughly maintained restroom, and the floor seems to be swept and shined often, as it is very clean. There is free WiFi; just ask the waiters for the password.

My husband and I went for the first time and loved this place. Their food is delicious, made with fresh ingredients. The menu is huge, as well as the price range. They have both Chinese and Japanese food, which makes the place two in one. If you like asian cuisine this place is for you

I had the short rib noodle soup and it was completely bland. The meat did not taste fresh, and it was topped with a very greasy fried egg. I typically like these dishes but the broth was lifeless.
My wife had the beef lo mein but it came with very little meat.
The staff was welcoming and even gave us some scallion pancakes on the house which were good, but not sure we will be visit again.

Actually really good! Definitely get the Homestyle dishes as they have a lot of flavor. The beef and beef tips hot pot is really good and the fried dumpling too

New owners. I can’t compare to the previous owners since it was my first time visiting. I had some Szechuan boiled fish here and it was pretty great. Harrison is limited with good Asian cuisine, and I just don’t feel like traveling to NYC every time I have a craving for good Chinese. This place exceeded my expectations and they gave me free scallion pancakes with my meal. Enough said! Can’t wait to return to try all their Szechuan dishes.

I’ve been going here to get my food fix since nearly 25 years ago, the recipes haven’t changed much. I lived in Harrison for a couple of years right above the Chinese restaurant across the street from this place. However I would cross the street to come get the best Chinese takeout, specifically the Sesame chicken and a few other dishes, from here. After moving back to the Jersey City area, and many years later, looking for something that taste as good as this place, I returned to the original place where I found the best Chinese take out food ever (here). It’s really hard to find authentic and good tasting Chinese food, unless I go to a specifically authentic restaurant, but this fits the bill for me. I haven’t found anything even close at typical take out places, and this place still holds a special place in my heart decades later.
