Vivian, our server, was exceptionally kind during our meal. She generously provided us with homemade chili sauces that perfectly complemented our Kang Pau chicken and rice, creating a delicious blend of flavors. Our order of wonton soup, mapo tofu, and Kang Pau chicken was all exceptionally tasty. The overall dining experience was so enjoyable that I am eager to return and explore more of the menu offerings.

Food: So many options! Orange chicken, Kung Po Chicken, beef broccoli, pork fried rice, wonton soup, dumplings!

Service: Family owned and so much love put into the food. There is only one server, and the food is “cooked to order.” So be patient.

Final thought: Best Chinese food in town!

We had the ma po tofu and orange chicken. Both were fantastic. The price was great and the service was great. The sign on the door about calling for an appointment was a little odd, but we were able to dine in.
太好吃啦!

The waitress was very friendly and helpful with selecting our dishes. We had chicken chow mein and shrimp chow mein and a side of spring rolls. The food was very flavorful and brought to the table nice and hot. I would definitely come back again.

Ordered Mongolian beef and it was raw and smelled like fish. Bbq pork fried rice had jasmine rice which overpowered the taste of everything else. Overpriced for the quality

*****ORDER FOOD WHEN YOU MAKE YOUR RESERVATION****
*****ORDER AHEAD FOR TAKE OUT ABOUT 2 Hours or More*****

Everything in New China is cooked on request, so the food is fresh. Some dishes can take an hour, two, or three hours to prepare. So order your food about one to two hours ahead when you want to pick it up, and they will prepare it for that time so it is hot off the wok.

We love this place. We discovered it earlier this month, in January 2025, and have already been twice as a group of six. We order way too much food to sample, which still comes under $30 per person.

This is the absolute freshest, tastiest Chinese food around. One of our couples has been eating Chinese around the Whittier area for over 30 years, and they were also there for the first time this month. They were jonesing to go back so soon. We still need to try the moo shu pork. I need to order that one 3 hours ahead of time.

One woman does everything out front, and two or three men cook in the back. The last time we arrived, two other couples were dining, and the service was excellent. That night, there was a notice on the door that said no drop-in take-out (see above about ordering ahead). Service can be slower if several groups arrive simultaneously, but the food is well worth it. If you want, you can take your time at this restaurant with a dinner lasting two or three hours and won’t be rushed out. It’s a great place to go as a group or a couple.

I called in an order for the first time. Asked how big the portions were and the annoyed teenager on the phone said the portions are the size of white trays at normal Chinese restaurants. So I ordered 2 order of orange chicken rice and chowmein as well wonton soup. The portions were huge I could feed a family of 8 and the food was expensive. 75.00. Had she given me accurate information i would have inly ordered ine order. Also the food tasted horrible. The facility was a complete mess. I will never go back!!

Accommodated 15 people for a small quiet birthday party.
Food was fresh and delicious and portions were large. Shrimp fried rice had many very large shrimp added. Most Chinese restaurants put small shrimp in rice and very few.
The service was very good.
From outside it looks like just a take out place and not very fancy. Inside is comfortable dining and the food served is freshly made and very tasty.
You can order to go too.
