I’ve been coming here for 15 years at least. This was my first time eating in. Always usually get lunch menu or carry out. Always a great experience. Tonight we stopped and ate in. The misses got General Tso chicken and I got Hunan Beef xtra spicy. We got crab Rangoon as an app. The only issue we had was there was practically no crab at all in the appetizer. Tasted like cream cheese only with a tiny hint of seafood flavor. The general tso chicken was good like always. Came out hot and fresh with lots of flavor. Nice size portion too. Now my Hunan beef came out so fricken hot and fresh. Vegetables were fresh and the beef was tender. I asked for extra spicy and it had a very nice kick to it. I opted for the house fried rice as well and that was very good. The egg roll that came with it could have been bigger but it was tasty. I especially love the hot mustard. Cleans your sinuses out and is super delicious. That stuff goes on everything. Absolutely love it. Anyway..the wait staff was friendly, kept drinks topped off, and checked in on us. The place was clean inside too. I highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed.

People say this restaurant has had it ups and downs over the year. We’ve only seen ups. We always enjoy our Chinese food in Wilmington. It’s a bit of a hike for us, but when we do make the trek it’s worth going. And it certainly tastes better than anything we have where we live!

I like the fact that you can get Chinese and Japanese food. I had the shrimp tempora roll and green dragon roll. Both were really good. I also liked their miso soup that I ordered two of them.

Saddens me to do this as I never have a problem but tonight I ordered the Triple Szechuan Delight and was extremely disappointed. The dish was overwhelmingly vegetables (mostly onions, celery, and peppers) with very little meat. If I wanted a vegetable-heavy dish, I would have ordered the vegetable option.
When I called to share my concern, I was told no one has ever complained, which felt dismissive rather than helpful. This dish did not match typical expectations. Then proceeds to say possibly the portion sizes were mixed up due to rush hour!! Doesn’t justify the fact that this dish cost $14.95 for what exactly? Rice was a little hard tonight as well – I was by far disappointed tonight with them.

New China in Wilmington is hands down one of the best takeout spots around! The food is always hot, fresh, and full of flavor, with generous portions that make it totally worth it. Orders are consistently accurate and ready fast, even during busy times. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the quality never disappoints. If you’re craving classic Chinese food done right, New China is the go-to spot every time.

*Highly Recommend* *Food Was HOT & Fresh* *Best Orange Chicken* *Great Prices*
We’ve visited several Chinese restaurants however this one is by far the very best we’ve ever been to.
The servers are all very nice and friendly and help each other, they pay attention to drinks that need refills before running out, they bring food piping Hot and the flavors are absolutely the best we’ve ever had especially the orange chicken.
We will definitely be returning to this location again in the future.

The food was really good, however for my own personal taste, it needed more salt. I got the moo goo gai pan. Once I added some extra Soy sauce and a little salt it was more to my liking. HOWEVER.. that being sad, it really didn’t bother me that much. I realize there are many people who really need to watch their sodium intake and i feel that overall this restaurant caters to everyone’s needs, as far as flavor. A simple addition of the soy sauce made the dish absolutely perfect for me. We ordered for carry out, so i didn’t get the opportunity for a full review of the service and all of the restaurants atmosphere. While it most definitely isn’t a modern set inside, I found it quaint and cozy. It was clean to the best of my view. The cashier was really sweet too. Would definitely order again.

If I could leave a zero stars I would.
Were to start, we live 30 minutes one way from here. Last time we went our food was all UNDERCOOKED. And not meat in our meal, we called and started off is we don’t want money back just want to call and let them know. They thanked us for letting them know and they take care of it.
Fast forward today, we said we’ll give it another try BAD DECISION. We get home ready to enjoy our cheat day and can’t eat anything we order minus one thing. Again we live 30 minutes away, only thing we can eat was the beef lo mein that only had 2 pieces of meet in the entire thing. Sweet and sour chicken for our daughter was so over cooked the meet was rubber. Her chicken fried rice was way undercooked that you heard the crunch as if she was trying to eat uncooked raw rice. Crab Rangoons were also so over cooked the stuffing was hard and not creamy. After just spending $44 on food we can’t eat minus one thing.
So we called they explained our issue and they said we needed to drive back to have it remade, we both work early and have a daughter who’s in bed by 7:30, not going to happen a hour and half drive for food. Told him I’d be willing to send videos and pictures because I have to now cook dinner for my daughter so she can go to bed. He said no that he can give a $10 credit for $44 of food we can’t eat minus $10 worth of food that has no meat. Pictures so the two pieces of meat it came with and them to the side while I’m moving the food around to show NO MEAT. Over cooked sweet and sour if you can’t tell the meat is WAY OVER COOKED to where you drop it on the counter it just breaks to pieces.
I’m not the one to complain but this is now our second time and have heard others complain as well. And the first we had a problem we did want money back but to tell them to help fix the problem but here we are today with the same problem.
I will never eat here again. I recommend driving to Minooka by jewel to get your Chinese cheaper, bigger bigger portions and never have had a problem from there. Do not get your food from here.
