One of the best restaurants in Mount Morris. Carry out only. Super friendly staff. Incredible food.

Staff was very friendly when I walked in to pick my order up. The lady running the desk was nice and quick to grab my order. Portion sizes are pretty big, and for the price it’s a bargain. Ended up driving 20 minutes from home for take out and wasn’t disappointed. They’re worth a try when you’re craving some Chinese food.
Edit: I’ve seen some people from the reviews claim the food is a hit or miss, but this was not the case. I could tell everything was prepared fresh and not some boxed yellow rice and frozen meal. Everyone these days are self proclaimed critiques.

the young chow fried rice is the BEST fried rice I have ever had. love their eggrolls and sweet and sour shrimp as well. I grew up in Mt Morris and have been eating their food for over 30 years. The are the sweetest people around.

My boyfriend and I were NOT impressed. You can tell it’s all homemade, cook to order, etc. But yet, it was so weird. I’m used to Hibachi in Linden Rd’s buffet and how their food tastes Golden Moon on Miller Rd, or even the Cantonese place on Fenton Rd or Hong Da off of Flushing and Ballenger. All of those places I’d rate good but NOT this place! What the heck…..This place gives weird lo mein noodles that have a greasy texture, the crab cheese hardly had any filling and didn’t taste very creamy on the inside, (you could see the artificial crab in it; inside was chunky) the chicken and broccoli tasted plain, the won ton was watery. The fried rice had no flavor. It was all very scary tasting. The lady was very nice in her attitude, but good attitudes don’t make up for poor food quality. I’m pretty sure the people who do rave about this place, only like it because Mount Morris is a ghost town with nothing phenomenally good to offer, aside from Gillie’s. It wouldn’t be hard to impress anyone, when there is nothing good to compare it to here. Honestly, I think it’s time for this business to close. It makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like, or if this place is very clean too. Because what we did manage to choke down, one of us got sick off from it. I noticed another person, who rated this place poorly, got sick from his order too. Hopefully, there isn’t a trend of this. And if there is a trend of a bunch of us getting sick, then the health inspectors needs to check this place out. Anyways, this place is not good in my opinion, and I suggest anywhere but here.

Let me start off stating i waited 38 minutes for our food after being told 15 ( got there at 7:08 and didn’t leave until 7:48) and 2 other people who ordered after me came in ordered, got their food and left before i got mine. I didn’t order anything fancy and Spent $30 on two combo dinners and an order of cream cheese ragoons and cookies. The chicken breading in both the general tso and sesame was soggy from the sauce. Three rice was fairly bland unless you put soy sauce on it. Mine however had burnt chunks in it as well. Wonton soup was good though!. I did ask the lady once to just never mind and I would just get a refund and she can forget the food but I’m not sure if she didn’t hear me or ignored me. But she kept walking to the back. She didn’t come back out until food was done i asked for a discount and she gave me a 3 pack of cookies ( that I bought a 12 pack of already for $1.20) and said she was sorry and my order was ready now and to have a good night…. I’m not really one to write negative reviews or reviews in general really but this was a pretty rough experience.

don’t even bother this woman is the most nasty small business owner i have ever come across in my entire life
i don’t like to pull the race card, ever, but it would be ignorant not to in this situation, seeing how she treats some compared to others
i don’t particularly like the food from here, so i normally only order soup a few times a month
she has always been rude, hanging up in your face when you call, and just overall very passive aggressive
but today, i ordered soup because I wasn’t feeling well, and my mother picked it up for me
upon picking it up, she told my mother not to come back, and to order from somewhere else, because we are “bad customers”
this is coming from a woman who i have tipped countless times regardless of her attitude, and am always nice to regardless of her behavior
so could anyone explain to me why im being treated this way? (you can’t, there’s no excuse)
this has left my family with nothing but fear from ordering there, because we don’t know the extent of the unkindness
if we keep ordering, will our food be made poorly or improperly out of spite? who knows? i don’t
please take your money elsewhere, an extra 10 minutes or few miles is worth the better service 🙂

Chicken had no crunch. Ordered orange chicken and general tso which seemed to be in a soup of sauce and watery veggies. Not only did it not have a crunch but the portion sizes were much smaller than many other oriental food places in the area. I really wanted to like it

Extra Star for the sweet woman who served the food and complimented my daughter, her accent was super cute and she was very nice.

Had Ham fried rice last night with two egg rolls. Always left overs for later and that is with my wife and I sharing. Never have had a bad meal there. Just what you would expect from a good hometown resturant. Fresh food, good service and a friendly face. Thank you for serving us.

Restaurant was recommended by friends who have gone there for years. It did not disappoint. The egg roll was delicious and fresh with a very unique flavor. The vegetable lomein, tho I was a little bummed there weren’t many vegetables in it, had the best flavor of any lomein I have ever had anywhere.
I will definitely visit them again and am excited to try other dishes
