This was ordered Thursday night 2/25/26

I have been here multiple times, the food was always great. But last night was bad. General Tso combo, crab ragoons and extra egg roll. The rice was burnt, it had the overwhelming taste and smell of burnt rice. It was inedible. the chicken for the general tso was tough, dry and tasted like it was reused, the egg rolls tasted old and soggy from grease. The ragoons tasted ok but still tasted old and dry. I was very disappointed after spend the money for that and couldn’t even eat it. What a shame. I don’t like to give bad reviews but…….

Ordered crab ragoon, wonton soup, chicken & brocoli combo – all came out excellent.

I will say I’m used to the crab ragoon being more stuffed & there being more chicken in the chicken & brocoli which also came with carrots for some reason but I can forgive them.

Ordered delivery & it came very quickly, delivery fee a little high for someplace 1.5miles away plus tip made it 10$ more expensive but eh man needs to eat sometimes. AND again I forgive them, they are in a rural like area providing quality food, atleast from what I ordered.

Been getting food here for years. It’s never other worldly but it’s always been edible. Not sure what dog they thought they were making these dumplings for. The meat looks and tastes rotten, and they are made like empanadas, not dumplings. I don’t think we will be placing an order again anytime soon. Got 3 other lunch specials that were edible, barely.

As I was already in the parking lot, I took a last minute chance that I could get something to eat at closing time(literally 9:59). They were gracious and kind to suggest and fix a bowl of lomein with shrimp and chicken and charged less than $10. This meal was made even more delicious with the pleasant attitude, helpfulness and kindness of the staff that night. I recommend New China, 2 doors down from The Underground and will visit again, before closing time. Thank you for staying open till the advertised hours. Thank you for your kindness and good food.

By far our favorite Chinese takeout in the area for over 30 years. Consistently excellent food and always plenty of choices. One can eat in, there aren’t many tables but the food is still wonderful. Same family group owners for all the years we’ve been patrons. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

I’ve been on a quest for some really good lo mein for years & years with no luck. Either the noodles are mushy, too dry, no taste or lack of vegetables. This did not disappoint. My husband had the vegetable mei fun and raved over it! The prices were also more than fair. We will certainly be returning.

So this place does have dine-in available but it’s obvious they do a lot of take out. I read the reviews on the General TSO and ordered the combo. It was great. The pricing and portions are good also. They do not serve fountain drinks (coke product plastic bottles). We dined in and received our order promptly. Btw the pork and spring rolls are excellent.

The garlic chicken with pork fried rice is so flavorful. I enjoyed every bite. I received fast and excellent customer service. The restaurant was very clean with ample seating. I will definitely return.

Beware!!! do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time or money. Ordered sweet and sour chicken that was ok and Happy Family which smelled fishy and now I’m sick. Makes sense if the seafood sat out or was not properly stored. I should have known better. the dumplings were flat and nearly nothing in them along with 1 order being burnt to the point of not being edible. LoMein had maybe 2 to 3 pieces of beef. Also ordered chicken and snow peas and could have just bought a bag of snow peas because there was only a about 4 pieces of chicken. The wonton soup was the cheapest thing I got and tasted the best. This place used to be so good we drove 30 minutes to get takeout….never ever again…oh and all this food was ready, amazingly, in under 10 minutes…which leaves enough to be said about the safety and freshness of the food. Upon contacting the owner he was rude dismissive and arrogant. I chose to look up food safety inspections and see they’ve had several violations as well. disgusting.

We ordered takeout for the first time on Valentine’s Day. We usually frequent another Chinese restaurant but this one is conveniently located to our new home. Ordering online was easy and we were quoted 15 minutes for pickup time since they don’t deliver right now. It ended up being closer to 30 minutes but they were slammed and the staff was really apologetic.

Prices are good. Food is good, but we had a bit of trial and error in figuring out what food we’d like and what it would look like, since that seems to vary across restaurants in the area. For example, I ordered honey chicken expecting a sweet dark sauce on lightly breaded chicken since that’s what “honey chicken” is at other restaurants. However, theirs is sweet and sour type chicken, just coated in a thick and sticky clear honey sauce with a ton of veggies (carrots, mushrooms, peppers). It wasn’t bad, just not what I was expecting.

The chicken on a stick was good. The crab rangoons were the triangular shape I like but tasted a bit too oniony for my liking. The sweet and sour sauce was good. My husband liked his lo mein and was glad he got it with no veggies since their veggies include mushrooms (a first for us). They have the BEST pork fried rice I’ve tried at any Chinese restaurant around. I also like that they offer krab as a protein for things. We got the krab lo mein and it was good. Their boneless ribs were good, but a bit too dry and not sweet enough for me. It was a huge portion of them with lo mein for only $12ish dollars though.

We will definitely order again!! Especially since their location is so convenient and the service was so good. Like I said, it’s trial and error of figuring out what you like.
