Probably the best Chinese food I have ever had! They only take cash or check but if you have to use the ATM just to try this—it is worth it. Good prices and great food! The family is very nice and the place itself is immaculate with its cleanliness. Do not be deterred by its “hole in the wall” appearance, this place is a hidden gem in Middlesboro.

Amazing little hidden gem in Middlesboro! Don’t let the older historic building turn you away. Family owned, the staff was very kind, and super friendly. We enjoyed conversation while our food was being freshly made. Let me add it tasted amazing!! Definitely will be back again when we are in town!

This is a pretty good Chinese place. The building looks kind of sketchy but don’t let that fool you! The general tso’s chicken is to die for! There isn’t a lot of seating here so many seem to get their food to go- but there is some seating here. Seriously, if you like Chinese, give them a shot!

We ordered the general tsos chicken and the curry chicken lunch specials. We also ordered some lo mein to take home because theirs is the best in town! The kind lady up front surprised us by bringing the sugary pastries to our table during our meal. They also checked on us a couple times to make sure we were happy with our meal. We highly recommend Middlesboro’s New China Express!

Don’t let the exterior fool you. This place is very clean inside, the staff are super friendly, and the food is amazing. It’s take-out only, no buffet, but it’s the best Chinese food I’ve had for the price.

After reading reviews, we decided to try New China Express. It is definitely a hole in the wall, off the beaten path experience but the food and staff were great. The food was excellent. Would have gave 5 stars but the inside dining area was uncomfortably hot, although I think it’s mostly take out. Will eat there again for sure!

Love this little restaurant! Always polite and clean no matter what the reviews say they have an A. We have ate here for at least 15 years or longer. I have tried everything on the menu and are very consistent. I’m from a much larger area and still drive 30 mins one way to eat their food. It is a laid back atmosphere and the cooks/ workers are doing their job so really no chitter chatter. The host is always nice and helpful always giving candy to our kids.
