This is as hole in the wall kind of place as you can imagine. It is not a sit down place. You walk inside and it’s like you’re at a train station waiting area where people line up to purchase tickets. I came here for the famous local St Paul’s sandwich. Ok legit it was awesome. And the price point was decent. I bought two for the road. I sat there way too long for a couple sandwiches as this place appears quite busy even outside of typical rush hours, and I got the sense that this place attracts some “interesting” individuals. I did not want to be in there any longer and got back in my car fast.

This is a hard review to determine. As far as the food goes it’s excellent. One of the best Chinese places I’ve eaten. I’ve ordered pick up 5 times so far. All combination plates that cost $10 even. They come with ham fried rice, your choice of an entree, and either an Egg Roll or two Crab Rangoon. So far I’ve tried the beef and broccoli combo, which the gravy is beyond amazing. The only complaint I have about this dish is the broccoli both times were not cooked long enough, so the broccoli was too hard. All the combos have very large proportions and will fill you up, and even enough for two helpings with me. The second dish I tried was the ham Lo Mein combo. It was excellent and I have no complaints with it. The third dish I’ve tried is the sweet and sour chicken combo. I’m used to getting the chicken and sweet sour sauce separately, but this dish came with the sweet and sour sauce already dumped and soaked on the chicken nuggets. It actually was very good, even with a different spin on it then I’m used to. With all this said about the food here’s where my review goes south. Every time I call to place my order the person on the phone is rude. They’re also pretty rude in person. But then I realized something tonight as I was waiting in line to pick up my order. The patrons every time I’ve been in this restaurant have been rude and arguing with the employees over petty stuff. So, if I put myself in their shoes, I’d probably be pretty upset after 5 or 6 hours of abuse. The location of this restaurant would probably explain why the patrons are always starting trouble. It’s not the safest or the best neighborhood in St Louis. I would definitely recommend eating here because their food is off the chain awesome. But, also expect to maybe wait a few minutes for the drama to unfold before you get waited on and get your food.

The best Chinese food I’ve had in years. I always get sweet and sour chicken combo. . Wish they had a second menu hung in the waiting area, Away from the window. I always wanna try something new but I walk to the window to look at the menu and they are immediately there like I know what to i get all ready . That’s why I’ve only gotten the one thing.. no update menu available online. But besides that, the food is fantastic. Hot and fresh. Plus they have all flavors of Faygo and Vess!

I personally don’t see the hype after trying this place, but a lot of people in the reviews seem to like it. It’s not bad, but it surely isn’t delicious or good in my opinion. I’m also not from STL, so this may be the norm for Chinese takeout here (but I doubt it). There really wasn’t much flavor in anything. The wings were fried hard which I usually prefer, but it made them lose their batter, and they definitely weren’t marinated before cooking because the meat was bland. The fried rice is darker than any Chinese spot I’ve seen, so I assumed it’d be loaded with flavor, but unfortunately no. Not bad food, but I wouldn’t call it good either. Just something to fill your stomach if other options are closed. Order ahead if you do try it though, because the waiting area is super small and you’ll be standing/sitting with a lot of people around you. There’s also no dining allowed inside.

I moved to The Hill and oh how I’ve missed it here, plus it was time for me to introduce you guys to the Southside version of Northside rice lolbvs…I didn’t get a pic of the 3duck necks my husband ordered, but I got this lovely Shrimp Happy Box w/Extra onion and gravy on the side!!!
*UPDATE* Still the best “chinamen” in South Saint louis with the easiest way to upsell you by simply saying “WHAAAT ELSSEE”

I walked in and placed an order. My wait was less than 15 minutes. My food came out super fresh. Their shrimp is cleaned and deveined. That’s a plus. They’re strawberry smoothie is delicious. You get a free soda on orders over $25. The lady working the counter was friendly. What more can you ask for.

DO NOT EAT HERE! I found a ROACH in my box of rice! For the first time I ate here I decided to try them as a suggestion from a friend. They only give you 1 soy sauce and 1 red pepper. I was advised that I would need to pay .25 per pack of soy sauce and .25 for 1 red pepper. How insane is that!!!! I watched the way they talked to their clientele! Absolutely atrocious! DO NOT EAT HERE. A good Chinese Rice house will have the packets sitting out for you to add to your bag or willing to give the customer what they ask for without charging this insane price! I have never in my life found a roach in my food from a restaurant. Absolutely nasty place. I should’ve known. OMG. Don’t eat here! You may get sick and you will be treated like less than!

Yum yum yummmmm! Their fried rice is incomparable, in its own league of deliciousness! Egg rolls are mmmmmmm, perfect compared to other Chinese places. I love to get their boneless chicken combos as well as their St Paul Sandwich. Take my advice and get one as it’s a tasty local treat.
My cousin recommend this place to me and now I can recommend this place to you as well. Call ahead or order when you get there, no worries. I haven’t had to wait longer than ten minutes when I’ve done a walk in order.

Horrible service they didn’t get my order right and I didn’t get what I paid for and then they started arguing with me about my order and I didn’t get my receipt, I think that’s why he wouldn’t give me my receipt after I paid , saying he would give it to me once my food was done , never going back and I wouldn’t recommend a that place to a stray dog .
