1st time going there. Was a little skeptical. It was very busy at 6pm. Kinda confused when I walked in didn’t know if I waited to be seated or just sat down. If you didn’t know this was an actual Chinese restaurant you also wouldn’t know walking in. Decor was non existentand no traditional music either. Buffet was very lacking in my opinion. I also come from Texas where most if not all incorporate traditional SETX food like crawfish, different shrimp and other ocean dwelling creatures. So their buffets are typically atleast 4 to 6 different sections. I noticed in Illinois they don’t serve traditional lo mein noodles. Theirs appears to be skinny spaghetti noodles no flavor and really dry. Rice also didn’t appear traditional resembled some type of boxed chicken rice also dry. Salt and pepper shrimp which I was looking forward to since it’s a traditional food in SETX was not the experience I was looking for. Breading was very mushy and shrimp was not cooked all the way. Tried all the other shrimp, beef and chicken dishes which were really good. My favorite being the coconut shrimp. Was not a fan of the ice-cream dispenser. Cooler appeared to be dirty mold in seals. Not a fan of people dipping their own ice-cream either. Very unsanitary and children will be children. Service was good. The poor lady however was running around ragged. Between to go orders at the counter, refilling drinks and clearing plates really felt sorry for her. Unfortunately to no fault of her own it takes away from customers who needs refills, extra napkins or anything else. After eating looking at the walls and ceilings you can tell they are seriously neglected. Cobwebs, mold and dirt residue built up on the vents. Looking at the paint on the ceiling it appears instead of cleaning the mold and dirt residue they decided to paint over it in patches. Also very cold inside. Paying my tab was very confusing. I was ready to leave a tip and sign however again the poor lady at the counter only tapped it im sure to speed up the process because she was really busy. Luckily ATM was next door. Went back to tip and thanked her for her excellent service. Definitely a place I will be back at. 27.00 for two people is a very good price point. You will pay that if not more for fast food.

Nice looking all you can eat lunch buffet. I had two platefuls. Average food. Wasn’t great, but wasn’t bad either. Decent value at $13.20 for the buffet and a soda. At least it wasn’t fast-food! Nice buffet selection of deserts, too; although, I was already full and could not partake. My first time eating here. I can see myself having lunch here a couple of times a month. Some Chinese music would go a long way to improving the atmosphere… Interestingly enough, I did not see a single Chinese employee. I thought that kinda odd since it is a Chinese restaurant…

This was the best china buffet ive been to. There is a limited selection but all of the food is top notch. Service is quick to refill drinks and collect dirty plates. I recommend the hot and spicy chicken and the coconut shrimp. Dinner for 1 was $11 and some change

My family was there for lunch just after they had opened. The food was barely warm, mostly tasteless and just not that appealing. And it didn’t taste like it had been made that morning. The decor and atmosphere are the same as they were 20 years ago.

I have visited this location quite a few times over the past couple of months. The food on the buffet is good and usually fresh. However, like the other Chinese restaurant in town, could use a good deep clean. Also, I don’t mind that children of the owners are acting as hostesses, but being children, it seems like they just want to be kids and play. Because an adult is off doing other things in the restaurant and is not always in the dining room, things like refilling drinks and paying for your meal sometimes takes a long time.

Food is good but the health department should have them do a thorough cleaning. Booths are filthy dirty with black dirt on sides of tables, head areas and wood parts where you sit. The slide door for ice cream has black looking mold. Bathrooms are dirty. I won’t go back who knows what the kitchen looks like if the seating area is dirty. Sorry.

Absolutely amazing Sour Spicy Soup! The atmosphere is wonderful and I felt very welcomed. The old reviews must have been under different management, and the picture does not reflect the actual restaurant currently.

Food was good but as all buffet goes when you show up dictates the quality of the food. Some entrees were not as hot/warm as they should have been. They do have a wide variety of food to pick from even some non-Chinese food like pizza in case you have young ones or picky eaters. They offer a nice selection of sushi and you can get stir fry on demand. Full salad bar and desserts, plus a soft serve ice cream machine. Expect to pay around 13-15 dollars a head but it is worth the cost.
