The Chinese food here is the best in Streator, the food is usually always ready for you in ten minutes, freshly cooked right there.

I only ate here once, and that was enough for me. First of all, you can’t understand them (especially when they don’t want to answer a question you have), but secondly, the food is dumpster food. I asked for “kung pao chicken fried rice” (any Chinese restaurant worth their salt offers this dish, and it’s awesome). Instead of telling me they didn’t have it (so I could order regular CFR and add a dish of kung pao chicken to mimic it), they just gave me the regular CFR (claiming they didn’t understand or something), which would have been fine (I guess), but the chicken was BROILED. BROILED CHICKEN, NOT FRIED. AND IT WAS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. I couldn’t even eat it and I don’t believe they even offered a replacement. Some of these Chinese restaurants act like they own America and can act and do whatever they want because they can use the “language barrier” (which I’m sure they also complain about when it inconveniences them). I’m not sure I’ve had a worse experience at any restaurant in my life. If you want solid Chinese, go to Beijing Garden across from Walgreens, downtown.

Rivals the best Chinese restaurants in Chicago from my experience. Very happy with this place! The prices and meal portions are on point. Will be back regularly.

They just lost our business because they don’t take credit cards, cash or checks only.

Had some General Tso’s Chicken with Fried Rice, and after about a half an hour later my stomach started feeling real bad, another half an hour later I filled the sink up with puke. Probably won’t ever be coming back.

This place serves the best Chinese food I have had. When you order it everything is cooked fresh and you get very generous portions. I believe the buffet is only open between. 11-3pm and the price is great for that though it doesn’t have too many choices. It’s a local family owned business and I’ve seen the same workers there for 10+ years, the quality is the best. This would be the best place if they had delivery.

I guess coming from Chicago, which has a large assortment of nice Chinese restaurants my opinion can be rather harsh. The food is OK at best, not even on the scale of China Town restaurants in Chicago, or even not as good as some of Chicago’s neighborhood restaurants. Sorry, but I was not impressed with the taste and authenticity. It is really hard to find good food in Streator.

We have ordered their “House Special Soup” for years- totally packed with shrimp, chicken, pork, and Chinese veggies in a delicious broth. (Really appreciate when we are sick and nothing else sounds good). We’r also love the Lo Mein
